Ivermectin product for large birds
I have used Ivermectin before on the chickens and it seemed to do the trick. This is a top up as 1 chicken looks a bit scraggly and though I cannot see any mites. It can't be anything else. Checked the strict diet. No other issues. Yes its great when used correctly.

Helps with both Red mites and Depluming mites - with a caveat (below)
We had quite a serious outbreak of depluming mites last year, where all 3 hens were losing feathers on their back, rear end & legs quite rapidly. Ivermectin was a suggested treatment, but cannot be approved as a treatment for chickens... So we bought a bottle of 1%, followed the suggested 3 drops per hen, and had some success. (but not cleared it completely) An online source suggested that sulphur baths as part of the treatment might be effective (dunk the chicken in warm water, to which a few drops of detergent - to remove surface tension - and 20g of sulphur in suspension), which it was, and a few months later, all 3 were fine. One hen has a bald patch currently, so it will be back to the same routine for all of them for a while. Note: If using Ivermectin to treat hens, it may not be safe to consume their eggs for at least a week after their last treatment.

Worth a try.
This treatment was easy to apply to my pet Cockatoo with a few drops to the birds skin and neck area. I've not seen any adverse side effects as of yet, and I'm hoping it stays that way, but I've only just started the treatment, so I can't comment on this side of things fully. One bottle is enough for around a month's worth of treatment as a preventive measure, so it is a little expensive at around £20 a month, as the price at time of writing was £39.99 for two. All in all, it's done the job so far, but the jury is still out in the long run.

DONT USE THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BOX/LEAFLET!!!
THis is standard grade ivermectin. The leaflet tells you to waay overdose! look it up on the 'net, and get the correct dosage, and all will be well. When used correctly, this product works really well. I used it on a small flocks of chickens and they are doing fine. (just dont eat their eggs for 10 days after and all is good) Happy with this product, just not the instructions.

Cautious
I used this once on my bird but was put off using it again after seeing some other reviews. I don't know if I dare risk it. Otherwise rather expensive anyway.

Do not get
Got these for a friend of mine who owns a large bird, and she said all they did was make her precious one noticeably ill for a few days. Seems about right with some other reviews for this product. I would not recommend.

Easy to use
Handy size, easy to use. A double pack means i have enough to last me. Really pleased with this! Time will tell on effectiveness.
