Works well, even if I don't use it a lot
I've got a small Instant Pot and do most of my pressure cooking in that, but I do use this occasionally for larger meals. It works well, and cleans up easily thanks to its mostly stainless-steel construction.I have lots of memories of my grandmother preparing meals in her ancient pressure cooker with the little weight that just sat on a nozzle to regulate the pressure, this isn't quite so low-tech but it still has a manual vibe that the Instant Pot doesn't match.

It's an okay pressure cooker
This pressure cooker would be great for someone who is just starting to use a pressure cooker. It is really good quality and comes with good instructions. I think the price is high but it is good nonetheless.

Heavy and heavy-duty
I've used a five quart aluminum pressure cooker for years. I finally ordered the T-fal Trendy Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker due to health reasons. The stainless steel is so much heavier. It also takes a lot longer for it to reach the boiling point. Other than that, it is great. The 8.5 quart is huge and perfect for me to make chicken soup and all sorts of broth. It's perfect for meat which only takes about 1/4 or less of time a regular pot would take. The locking button is good except that I find it a little difficult to push because of my small hands. My old pressure cooker is much easier to lock and unlock. Overall I am happy with the pressure cooker and I am looking forward to cook a lot of delicious meals for my family.

reminds me of another one I had
I got this Tfal pressure cooker to replace one that had broke from a now defunct company. It was great. This stovetop model reminds me of it, but even better. I love the capacity, the dishwasher safe body, and easy to use clearly marked knob and locking switch. Did a great job on brown rice and stock.

My first pressure cooker
I think this was a great choice. t-fal quality and easy to use. it’s easy to clean and works well on a variety of foods. It does take up some room in your cabinets and I had to find a location with a shelf with higher clearance
