This is an amazing unit! It has everything I need except for a power fail USB signal port to automatically shut down computers. It is lightweight and compact. It has 8 power sockets on the back - all UPS protected which makes it easier to use than units with mixed types. When you connect it to the mains, it starts charging immediately. To switch the output AC on, push the front switch on for three seconds. To switch off, push for 5 seconds. This off-time is long enough that it doesn't get switched off by my roomba, as the power switch is at the bottom at the front. The unit contains an LFP or LiFEPO4 battery bank - good for three thousand full discharge cycles, so it could easily outlast its 5 year warranty - even if you have a fully draining power cut every day! Once the supply cuts out and its running on battery backup, the unit beeps every 5 seconds. While in backup, if you quickly push the front button, it stops beeping for the remainder of the current outage, but will start beeping again on the next outage. This is exactly the behavior I want. The beep is short and loud enough to hear in most rooms, but not annoying. The battery is nominally 25.6V and 9Ah at full charge, so around 220Wh total capacity. With AC output on, the unit consumes about 8-10 watts, so with no load, its run time is about: 220 / (10 + output_watts), so for example, it should last 22 hours with no load (output_watts=0), and about one hour with output_watts=210. After several years it should still work, just with slightly reduced capacity, so no sudden capacity reduction with age - unlike lead acid.

Happy with power supply so far. Arrived on time. Set up as instructed. Runs great.

This device got my family through the 4 day electricity outage in Colorado. We wish it had a bit more capacity, but it served its purpose by keeping our medical devices and smartphones functioning. This unit would likely keep a low-power laptop or tablet working for a few hours. So far, so good.

My house is on a gas generator, so battery backups only need to really last for at most a few minutes before the genset kicks in and powers everything. But in that moment, I need a reliable UPS for my PC and assorted electronics. The other lead acid units I've used for the last 20-odd years have been mostly reliable but when the batteries fail, it seems that 9 times out of ten the unit itself would soon experience some sort of failure, and any money spent on new batteries would be wasted. So I was eager to try this lithium ion technology as a backup device, in the hopes that it will work for long enough to offset both the added extra cost to buy and the lack of ability to replace the internal batteries. So far, so good, but I've only had it for about six months. This device is more than adequate for my main PC, which is not a gaming PC but also not a standard desktop unit. It's kind of in-between and is a higher power draw than a laptop or basic off the shelf unit would be. Since I only need backup power for at most 5 minutes, I've also added my modem and router to the device to keep internet up during short outages. So far, it handles them all without issue. I will say that on one occasion, a short power blip did seem to cause the unit to hiccup. My PC didn't shut off but the modem did. Luckily it was during an off peak time so no one was inconvenienced too much. But it still does make me wonder if it will happen again some time. The unit itself does seem to switch ever so slightly more slowly to backup power than the traditional units I've had from APC or Cyberpower. Something to consider, I suppose, if you have sensitive electronics. One worry I've had is that the unit would have an obnoxious buzzer or alarm when in backup mode. Some reviews complained about that while others seem to say it doesn't have a buzzer at all. Mine does, but it's honestly kind of a quiet, pathetic little whizzer that I can barely hear, so it doesn't wake me up annoying if an outage happens when I'm asleep. The alarm can be silenced by pressing the button on the front panel, but frankly I haven't been annoyed enough yet to even try that. The same button also does other functions so I don't really want to take a chance on hitting it for too long and shutting the whole thing down. Overall, it seems like a good device. The build quality is definitely not up to the big name brands' quality. The LCD display is a bit wonky and the bog-standard LED lights on the front panel seem like they came from some industrial machine from the 70's, but overall it's compact, quiet and has plenty of plugs on the back to power whatever, so I'm happy. Whether it lasts long enough to justify the price difference of lithium ion, though, remains to be seen.

We unboxed this GOLDENMATE 1000VA/800W Lithium UPS last night and were very impressed. The product looks very nice and it was packaged well, almost over-packaged when you think about the amount of cardboard that gets used. The display is bright, easy to read, and very intuitive. We charged it overnight and then tested it on our computer setup today. We have 2 computers, one large 4K monitor, and lots of peripherals. With an average load of 120 watts or so, this unit powered our setup for over an hour and used 2 out of 5 bars of battery level. I don't know if it is linear but the manual states it uses a 25.7v 9Ah battery. That's roughly 230 watt hours ignoring conversion losses. With our usage, that would give us 2 hours of run time with the power out and that's about what our first test showed. I plugged it in and out of the outlet a few times and none of our equipment even blinked so it seems robust. The best part is we NEVER heard the fan come on! Our older Eaton UPS was a great protector of our gear but the fan noise was bad enough that we had to put it in another room and run an extension cord from it. One thing to consider when you set this up is any peripherals that use large surge currents, like laser printers. In our case, the laser printer we use surges 10A or more when the internal heater comes on, and also spikes power when we print something. So, we chose to leave that off the UPS circuit. No sense wasting large amounts of capacity servicing a printer during a power outage. If you have much higher loads like this you need to protect then this product may not be big enough for you. But for our needs it's a winner. Now we can put this Goldenmate UPS right next to our other equipment and hope it will keep it all safe for a few good years. Thanks Goldenmate for a nice product!

*** originally 1-star review *** Garbage, failed 1.5 months in randomly. There wasn't even an electrical blackout, it just failed randomly out of nowhere. Would've been better to just have hooked it up directly to the outlet. I run a critical computer system that needs reliable power and trusting this product was a mistake. I don't think it was the battery that failed because it's showing full charge. The inverter may be the issue. Going back to a more reliable brand. UPDATE: Okay, this was probably user error. I think my foot accidentally pressed the button for too long and manually shut it off. Be careful with where you place the unit and your feet. The unit worked perfectly fine and kept my computer running for 3 hours during a power outage.

I had an old AVR UPS with modified sine wave, which had its SLA batteries replaced at least once already. It was time to upgrade to a better backup and wanted to go LFP. Goldenmate seems one of the few purpose built ones available, and it's for the consumer. The low price is a bit concerning, but it appears this falls to the low price that LFP has come to and the very budget control this thing has. There's not really anything intelligent about it. It has a specific purpose to exist and it fulfills this purpose. Once I got it charged up, I did a rundown test for the load it will be carrying and it performed better than I expected. Since then, it's done its job as expected without issues. I wish I'd known about the "Pro" version, though, before I bought this one, so that I could connect it to my homelab server for monitoring. I will be buying another one when my other UPS batteries fail, and plan to get the "Pro" version then. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased the 800 watt battery to provide back up power to my garage openers. Works great. The price is very good, reasonably light weight, and lithium batteries. The negatives with this product: The case is very light soft plastic and gives that plastic smell. The power cord is only 3 ft. And the plug is a poor fit to the device. The watt meter display on mine does not seem very accurate, about 10 to 30 watts higher then my watt meter which I know is accurate.
