I needed a quick fix to seal cracks around exterior doors during a recent freeze and this worked great. Not what I intended it for but it held tight and came right off without issue, although it was attached to steel and not painted surfaces.

This insulating tape seems to work well. I applied it just a few days ago so time will tell how long it lasts. It is easy to apply. The adhesive stayed put. I ended up taping over it with UV resistant line tape (designed for said purpose) to add a little more longevity to it. I don’t know if that was necessary but I always like to be cautious. I wish I would’ve thought to take a picture prior to applying the UV line tape so you could see what it looks like, but attached is a picture of the final product (UV line tape over this insulating tape). You can see what this tape looks like at the spot where it meets the air conditioner.

I spent a considerable amount of time combing through reviews, trying to find the best outdoor insulation tape for my split top heating and cooling units that are based outside my home. As I found in the other reviews, this tape is quite sticky so it does a great job in Sticking to itself. One tip I have is that you can buy a wider tape and split it in half to extend it. Additionally, for areas that were difficult to get good adhesion (tight angles, narrow gaps) I used zip ties to keep it together. Those work really well in concert With this tape. I would strongly recommend this version. I haven’t used the more popular namebrand, but this works well and is competitively priced.

I used these on our outdoor tankless water heater & did not have any issue with our pipes freezing like we did last year when we didn’t have this. Would recommend to anyone.

First time using this tape. Love the idea, good to work with. Difficult to install in tighter spaces, and I'm a little weary of the tape not sticking that well bc of the quality of the adhesive. Time will tell.

Good stuff. Does what it’s supposed to do. It gets below freezing at times here in AL and this has definitely worked on my exposed water runs for the animals.

I liked the length and width it came in. Good price . Seems to be doing the job. I am happy with it. For my own experience, my pipes to the air conditioner were too close to the ground and I had to cut it in 12-16” lengths to be able to feed underneath the pipes. I may have been better off getting the 2” or 1”. Bigger is not always better.
