I purchased these USB Data Blocker 2-Pack (USB-C to A and A to C). They’re compact, simple, and extremely handy to keep in with your laptop bag or along side your iPad. I got this adapter for safe charging in public places. This adapter is designed to protect data when charging phones and laptops. I bought the two pack, one with the old style USB and the other USB-C. I plug my iPhone 15 Pro Max into my work laptop to charge during the day and I would always get the same "do you want to share your photo library with this machine?" every time I plugged it in. Every time. Now when I plug it in via this port blocker it just says the USB device doesn't work property but it charges absolutely fine. I've not had a a USB-C blocker before so maybe this is expected. The old style USB port blocker works fine, my laptop doesn't even know it's there - it just charges. Maybe this is expected with USB-C, but it deffo doesn't detect my iPhone and it charges it. But it knows something is plugged in.

It effectively blocks the data pins. I used this for my Garmin dash cam because it would detect the data pins and mistakenly assume it was plugged into the computer.
