When I first opening this camping light I was looking for the the string, took me couples seconds and found the light string. The light string is well organized and roll up, the string is pretty long, the light is bright and it has various level of brightness, my baby loves the rainbow mode. Very easy to retract the light string back, nice and neat, no more messy big bunch string. Super easy to carry, small size doesnt take up space, definitely worthy for its price. Love the magnet part, there was power outage in my house 2 days after I got this light, and I just use it and put it on my fridge, saved me the night and it was so handy.

These camping string lights are fantastic and very practical. The 32.8FT length is perfect for tents or outdoor spaces, and the waterproof design works great for camping trips. The 8 lighting modes are fun and versatile. Easy to set up and bright enough for night activities.

I'm sure this isn't the best thing for the life of the built in battery, which is USB charged, but we've taken to just leaving these on and plugged in in our dining room, after initially buying them for an outdoor party as a one-off. The handle and retractor are slick! You just reel it in. So it makes for a really easy to use and portable quick party/accent light system, and the white lights are bright enough to provide low-level illumination -- you can't read to them, but you can eat to them, as it were. And the "fifth mode" is as a small camp light, which can be handy. I'm not going to put the waterproofing to the test, having been disappointed too many times by allegedly waterproof LED systems. The only nit I have is that the four light sequences are just white, flashing white, all colors, and all colors flashing (really kind of throbbing). It would be nice to be able to pick each of the four individual colors in turn or combine them.

We originally bought two sets of these camping string lights for our camper, and they worked out so well that we ended up buying more to use at home! I already have built-in decor lighting for my fifth wheel. I added this one because it can switch between colors. This one can be used as an emergency light as well and put on metal such as the exterior of my RV. Anyway，it is small but has multiple functions. It runs on the built in rechargeable battery. Any USB-C cable can be used to charge it. This is very convenient. I will see how long it can last.

In theory this is a good product: compact, spools nicely, and has a variety of settings. However this seems to be the quality control rejects from similar product batches because this light worked exactly once and then started having problems. Either it would not turn on, or it would turn on initially and then not change settings, or just appear dead even though it was just charged. After the first use I could not ever get it to work again Also a few weird design oddities. 1. when you first turn it on, the initial setting seems to be "extremely bright light shining right at your face" which is certainly not what you want when you are setting up lights in camp at night 2. the silicone cover/plug for the usb port is extremely hard to open and close. it is recessed into a tiny spot with no real way to grab it. so you will probably have to dig it out with something sharp and then leave it open forever, or rip it off and toss it; both of which defeat the purpose of having a cover for that port.

Very nice design and convenient to use. It has a crank to retract the string lights, and it can also be used as a central light bulb. Very useful as a camping light or an ambiance light at home. I have a tesla, so I can literally connect it to my car, and it can go on forever.
