Blackboard Paint - 2.5 Litre Water-based, non-toxic, weather-proof

I have used a different brand of chalkboard paint before at home, this one I bought for my classroom. The paint is very runny so you have to be careful when applying that it doesn't run or drip, however the coverage is fantastic. I have hardly used any and have painted a large area of wall (2 coats) and a smaller varnished wood panel area. I painted straight onto the varnish without sanding or preparing (other than cleaning) and 3 coats and it's perfect. The wall, I cleaned then painted straight onto the white paint was there and after 2 coats it looks amazing. I haven't used even a quarter of the tin. I would highly recommend this paint, don't let the thinness of it put you off when you open the tin, it does a great job! Haven't used chalk on it yet as only painted yesterday so I can't comment on how well chalk rubs off but very impressed with it so far.

Really great quality paint. Takes chalk well and wipes off easily. Amazing coverage. We did a whole room, floor and ceiling included with two coats and still only used half a tin.

Yes worked well, used to paint wooden ceiling beams in an old property, that I was decorating.

This did exactly what I needed. It is a good quality paint that went a fair way. I used it to transform a child’s train table into a Lego table, refresh a couple of household chalk boards and created a large outdoor blackboard (around 9 foot by 6 foot). I used 2-3 coats on each and still have paint left over. It was fairly easy to use; a runnier texture than other paints but not to the degree that is caused an issue - you just needed to be aware to combat drips. This brand offered a better value for money than others. I’m very pleased with this and would buy again.

Initially I bought this for my partners games room but I liked the finished look of it so much I actually painted me skirting boards and doors. Give a Matt black finish, it’s great as I have kids and a wet wipe cleans the bannister straighter away. I’ve also had a lot of good comments and been asked what I used.

I bought enough to do 2 coats but only needed one.

Goes on easy - might need two coats for dense coverage. Wipes clean well with standard chalk.
