Perfect size for travel or if you are sitting in the living room recreating past games by the masters,. Especially like that it has the chess notation letters & numbers. Magnets work perfect!ly & the size of the pieces are just the right size The board opens & closes, I wish it had a latch or something, I dropped it once & the piece went everywhere. Great price She easily carries it in the front pocket of her backpack. I would definitely recommend.

I bought the extra small size and I have to say it is indeed very small which makes it very convenient whenever I'm studying something on my phone or in a book I can have both of them on the table in front of me without it taking up every bit of space. when folded up with the pieces inside it is just smaller than my phone meaning I can slip it in my pocket easily and take it anywhere. and as it mentions it is indeed magnetic meaniung can flip the board upside down and the pieces won't fall off at all which is also nice. the only gripe I have is that it doesn't come with extra pieces to account for promotion of pawns but it's still very good for the price.

Great quality product for only $10 and convenient for travel. I purchased for my 11 year old son to take to Summer Camp with his Scout Troop to work on his Chess Merit Badge and they suggest bringing your own board. I think this is perfect. Most of the kids know how to play Chess, so I imagine it will get played during random downtime too. Magnets hold well. No pieces were missing. Case closes securely. I purchased the Small 7.6"

I bought this as a gift for my son. He is a boyscout, and this will be nice to bring on campouts and trips. The pieces are magnetic and stick to the board, they also store right inside. The only thing that is disappointing idea the plastic that is used for the hinge is very thin and will likely break.

I’m learning to play chess via an app and wanted a small board that I could physically play on. I wasn’t looking for fancy, just small. After reading reviews and looking at pictures of many travel sized boards, I settled on this one. It has magnetic pieces, folds up to be pocket sized, and feels pretty well made for what it is. The price was good as well. I like that on the box it’s got how each piece moves and has a little paper inside as well. That’s something I’m still trying to remember and having it on hand is convenient. I cut the picture off the box to keep with the board. The pieces move easily and stay on the board pretty well. The magnets are strong enough to keep them where you want them, but not so strong you struggle to move them. Maybe one day I’ll get a fancy board I can leave out all the time, but until then, this one is perfect for what I was looking for. It’s compact, easy to carry and store, and I look forward to playing on it.

I keep this in my car because it’s so small and easy to carry everywhere. I take it with me to the park, beach, and other outings. I love taking it out and playing with my kids, it’s been so fun and convenient!

I got this for my daughter's after school enrichment program where they playing chess for a semester. The magnetic pieces were awesome! She was able to easily fit it in her backpack to bring to school to have for the after school program.
