I was shocked how easy this was to install! I was replacing an existing exterior door knob. Took off the old one, and this new one fit the existing holes perfectly! It was just a few steps to install: Insert and screw in the interior mechanism. Screw on the interior posts to the outside half. Position in the outside half and thread the wire connector to the inner side. Remove the knob from the inner half. Connect the wire to the inner half. Screw the two halves together. Re-attach the inner knob. Insert four AA batteries. All done! It helped that the instructions were very well laid out and written. No broken English. Step-by-step instructions. The only tool I needed that wasn't provided was a screwdriver. (You'll need more tools if you are starting with a raw door and need to make the holes in the door and door jam.) Operation is easy, with nice features. There is a default factory Master Code you need to change first (easy instructions). Then use the Master Code and follow the instructions to program the options: Auto-lock on or off: On if you want it to lock automatically after a programmed number of seconds. Off if you want it to lock manually only (hold any number key for 2 seconds to lock). Seconds for auto-lock: set from 5 to 99 seconds. User entry codes: Set up to 20 custom entry codes. This allows everyone in the household to have their own. You can also set one up temporarily, e.g. for a house guest, and later remove it. Vacation mode on/off: The custom entry codes don't work when on - only the Master Code. One-time code. Silent mode on/off. "Locking" the door simply makes it so turning the knob on the outside does not turn the latch to open the door. Turning the knob on the inside always turns the latch. When the door is locked, you can unlock from the outside by entering the Master Code or any of the programmed user codes: 1. Push any button to illuminate the number pad, if desired. 2. Push the buttons for the entry code. 3. Push the "Yamiry" button below the numbers. The green light will turn on, beep is heard, and the door is unlocked. For security, if someone is with you that you don't want to see the entry code, you can add digits before and/or after the code when entering it on the keypad and it will still work. There are also two keys provided, which will also open the door from the outside. Another nice feature is the usb port on the bottom side of the outside. Should the batteries go dead, you can attach a power pack to operate the door until the batteries are replaced (or use a USB power instead of batteries all the time). The engineering and materials are great. They are well made, solid parts. Nothing is flimsy. I expect it to last many, many years. This is a great electronic-locking door knob to replace my manual-lock knob. There are two features I would like that maybe they will add sometime: 1. The option to auto-unlock the knob when opening the door from the inside. Currently, if you open the door from the inside it is still locked from the outside when you shut the door. 2. An easier method of changing from auto-lock to manual-lock mode. Currently, you have to enter the Master Code and programming sequence to change it. It would be nice if there were a programmable User Code for making the change, to make it easier at times when you are going in and out of the house often for chores, garden work, etc.

I’ve been using this Yamiry keypad smart door lock for a little while now, and I’m really happy with it. Installation was straightforward and didn’t take much time, even without professional help. The keypad is responsive and easy to use, and I like that I don’t have to carry keys anymore. The backlight makes it convenient to use at night, and the overall design looks modern and clean on the door. It feels sturdy and secure, and the price is very reasonable for what you get. Great value for a keyless entry lock! Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for an affordable and easy-to-install smart lock.

Easy to install, great common sense options/settings for your preferences in how you want it set, and easy to change these settings/codes, etc. Quality made too. How these work is they come factory set as 'locked' all the time. What that means for these door locks is that the outside knob turns as normal but isn't engaged internally so it's not moving or turning anything inside the mechanism, which means the door is locked, you can't open it as the knob just turns back and forth and doesn't do turn anything UNTIL you enter your set code & press the larger button on the bottom with the brand name on it, THEN the outside door knob will engage the lock mechanism internally and actually open the lock when turned. This will last for a few seconds and then automatically return to the disengaged position (locked). The convenience of this means that when you walk out your door and close it behind yourself, it's automatically locked because the outside door knob isn't engaged with the internal lock mechanism until the correct code is entered, so you never have to wonder if you locked the door behind yourself, you know it's locked when you close the door, it's that simple. The inside (interior) door knob works like a normal one, it's always engaged and always opens the lock (door) when you turn it. It's only the outside handle that remains disengaged until the correct code is entered on the keypad, then it works/engages for a few seconds, enough time to turn the door knob and open the door, then returns to being disengaged.

This is probably designed for an entry door but we have a door into our garage that you can open from the inside whether it’s locked or not resulting in getting locked in the garage and having to bang on the door or fish out the hidden key to get back inside. This seemed to fit the bill. We wanted a simple keypad lock and didn’t need it to have an app or connect to WiFi or all that jazz. Installation was fairly easy. The included strike plate was significantly different so I just left the existing strike plate on and it works perfectly fine. I did have to chisel out the edges of the recess for the plate that goes around the latch, ours had rounded corners and the included plate has square corners. Not a big deal and not the fault of the product. Instructions are pretty straight forward and it didn’t take long to install. Once installed, added batteries, set our code and it seems to work great. I like that you can hit any button to get the keypad to light up and then enter your code, push the enter button and you’re good. You can turn the keypad beeps on and off, put multiple codes in and set it so that it auto locks from 5-99 seconds. I set it at 99 so if we pop out to take the garbage out or I need to grab a tool I don’t need to re-enter the code to get back in. Just turn the knob, walk back in the house and it auto locks on its own in 99 seconds. The knob itself is fairly heavy and seems nice and sturdy. Time will tell on the durability but I’m very pleased so far.

The keypad can feel slightly exposed in very wet or harsh weather conditions, and the aesthetic is functional rather than particularly premium.

The key pad is hard to see in the dark, a lighter colour than black might be better. The keys light up once pressed though, so it works out. Easy to install and program. Great price!

Outside handle broke within 3 months. No damage to the unit- the handle just stopped opening the door from the outside. Which was a super fun experience to have in the middle of winter with a wiggly baby in my arms and no way to get inside my home. I had to call a friend who gave the knob a slight kick and was able to completely break the knob off. Do not recommend!

Exactly as shown installation was a breeze and programming was even easier. Instructions are clear and the added QR code for video was a nice add on all though not needed. Works great
