Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO 250 Ω Studio Headphones, Open Systems

This headphone is so perfect! I play games - valorant mainly- and the imaging on these headsets are TOP NOTCH , it’s been a few days since I’ve received it and my hs% rose quite significantly (from 25% to 32%) and it’s pretty affordable compared to other premium headphones , this is definitely worth the price tag and the design is so comfortable that I can sit for hours without any headaches/neck pain , the soft cushions and headrest allow the product to fit any head shape (also can be adjusted height wise) , functionality wise the headset excels at what it does , not just for gaming but for music/video watching too! After playing back some songs I listen to regularly I was able to hear certain segments which I couldn’t hear previous on my previous headset. The wire is nicely coiled up and is very stretchy so I can move around freely without any worry. Overall: 9.8/10 Price: 9/10 Functionality: 9.9/10 Comfort: 10/10 DO NOTE THE 250 OHM VERSION REQUIRES A DAC/AMP. I am currently using a Audio interface (Scarlett solo 3rd gen) though it’s not as powerful as an amp it gets the job done perfectly.

This is the first time that I have bought a pair of studio grade headphones, and wow, I couldn't have asked for a better pair than these cans. The output is really clean, you can pinpoint the instruments in your mix. The bass is deep and balanced, but it kinda feels muddy at times. Also, the treble is somewhat sharp but it doesn't change the overall experience that much. Soundstage is pretty good and wide as well. Although it does leak a lot of sound being open back, but that doesn't bother me much as they're meant to stay in your studio and not to use while travelling and such. With that said, it allows a lot of outside noise in as well but they become barely noticeable or disappears completely if you're listening in a high enough volume. The clamping force isn't that high but enough to keep them on your head without falling. The cushion pads are really comfortable as well. You won't feel anything even if you wear it for hours. It's worth every penny I paid for it, and I'm reallly having a great experience.Definitely a buy if you're looking for a good pair of studio headphones to start with.

This headphone is incredible sound quality and is very comfortable

Got this beast today. I'm playing Hi-res 24bit 96kHz music for 3 hours and the sound quality is exceptional. I am now able to hear the details and subtle background sounds which were not audible in my previous Samsung earphone. Initially I was skeptical that my phone (Samsung galaxy s10 lite) and laptop (Asus K55vm) were not able to drive this 250 ohm headphones, I was even planning to buy a portable amp (topping nx3s) but it's getting very loud with my laptop and my phone is also able to drive this (though I had to turn the volume to full 😅). My sister's realme 5 pro is also able to drive this. While watching infinity war with 5.1 channel audio, the details is so soothing. The nanotech suit transformation sound is totally different from what I had heard from laptop speakers. I will update this review after burning it for 3 to 4 days and trying every type of music. *UPDATE after 2 months * It sounds exceptionally good when playing classical music and songs with more vocals. Bass is not that pronounced so bass listeners, don't buy this. Sound leakage is a problem when you are in a room with people, at normal (low) volume you can hear their voices and at loud volume they can hear what you are listening. Soundstage is very good. You can feel this while watching horror movies with 5.1 audio. Sometimes after using it for more than an hour, I feel pressure in any one of my ear. Sometimes I feel headaches too. It happens around 10% times when I listen to this.

Great Music production Heaphones. I am not professional.....but this gadget has made me one. Amazing crisp clear frequency. Just go for it if you have a budget for these. Long lasting. Only con is you get sweaty ears after some time of use because of the velvety cushions.. Recomend to use in AC room.

Beyerdynemic DT 990 pro is professional users for sound engineer, value for money, perfect balanced sound.

Within one or two years, the right-side speaker may stop working. Still if you want to buy, you can buy from a nearby store that provides better service.

I bought my first pair three years ago but they broke unfortunately, not through any fault of their own, I ended up sleeping on them one night which twisted around the metal on it. I didn't think twice before ordering the exact same pair. At this price point, I feel they're up there with the best of them. The sound is amazing - rich highs and strong bass response (coming from a basshead). They are a bit low on the mids (V shaped sound) but that is how I EQ all my music anyways. For some though, that could be a con. They seem to like a bit of a burn in period, I notice a little more ear fatigue on the new set. One thing to consider as well is these are open back, so if you're worried about hearing noises around you, or sound escaping the headphones, I'd suggest the DT 770 pro's which are closed back. I think of the open back as a pro though, the sound stage feels much larger and open. Build quality is also great with these, it took all 280 lbs of me sleeping on them for a whole night just to bend the metal on the first pair. I've read that some find the clamp over the head a bit exaggerated, but I have a massive head and they're just right for me. Besides, better clamp = better bass! The only real con I can find is with the velour headphone pads. They are quite obviously worn down (about half the original size) on my old pair after many nights of gaming in intense heat, however, the pads are replaceable so it's not even that big of a con. Highly recommended!

expensive but worth it, best for music composers and also for gamers. but sure you need must a DAC/AMP for this . Otherwise sound too much low cause low power, you must need a amp for this
