It’s pretty good but we like the 12oz Amazon cherry one much better and they haven’t had it lately.

Better than brand name - but SUPER sleepy!
Okay in my opinion, this is significantly more effective than the leading brand name version - better cough suppressant, better for throat pain, and better for sleep while you’re sick. On that note though, it makes you SLEEPY. I took it for three days straight when I had a bad cold, and basically slept for 14-18 hours a day that weekend. My partner took it a week later because he thought he was coming down with something - went to bed early (for him) and slept most of the next day. This stuff will put you on your butt!! But super effective if you’re having trouble sleeping due to illness, and I imagine the forced rest ultimately helps you get better faster.

This is the only “generic” product that my husband uses for night time cough relief.
