Starter Kit for Raspberry Pi 5 RAM 8GB - 64GB Edition of OS-Bookworm Pre-Loaded (Red&White Case)

I bought this IRasptek Pi5 starter kit for my 12 year old son this Christmas, to help him start his coding and electronics journey. This item is fabulous! It can be assembled in minutes (adding the heat-sink and installing the Pi into its case) and once a USB keyboard and mouse, and HDMI monitor are plugged in, the system boots in seconds and it's basically a windows desktop environment. There are also two Python versions pre-installed to get you coding quickly. I connected the PI to a break-out cable (24 pin IO connector) and on to a electronics starter kit. My son was lighting up LEDs and sending text to a small screen within hours! The Pi5 is a very capable and powerful little computer, playing you-tube videos seamlessly and allowing full and fast internet browsing. I'm thinking of buying another system for myself! Gavin

This is a great starter pack as it comes with everything you need to start your adventure into the world of Pi. The included SSD comes pre-installed with the OS on. It is very straight forward to assemble the Pi with the fan and inserting into the case. This is my first Pi and within a couple of hours I started building circuits and using code. (I have very little coding experience) It says you need a wired keyboard and mouse but I was able to use a really cheap wireless one with a dongle to get going. I've since linked my MX master to it. There is so much that can be built with this very tiny but very powerful little computer, plenty of exercises to work through. No doubt I will be expanding my PiVerse in the future. You can even create a free Pi Connect account and login to your Pi from anywhere in the world. Pretty impressive. I would highly recommend purchasing an electronics starter kit from Amazon if you have not got one, just so you can start making electrical circuits. This kit also comes with a 2 year warranty card that you can fill out the form once purchased.

I purchased this as my base for my dive into the Raspberry pi 5. I have used most of its predecessors for various projects but wanted to start afresh with the 5. The unboxing experience was great, the outer packaging is of a really nice quality but I expected the contents to be just thrown in, but that was not the case. The components each have their own boxes perfectly organised and labled, very impressed.. The hdmi cables feel good quality, as does the power supply. The case is plastic but we'll designed and feels robust enough for most projects. The Raspberry pi appears to be original and comes with a very nice heatsink with fan with just snaps onto the board with two press stud type fittings. What really impressed me was the micro sd to usb adapter and branded micro sd card that is included. I set the pi up, put in the card and powered it on. To be honest I expected nothing to happen but it instantly booted into the Pi OS setup.. Yes, the card comes preloaded with Pi OS.. And when I say instantly booted, I mean it.. The Pi 5 is ridiculously fast compared to the previous models.. Overall I am blown away by the kit.. It is absolutely perfect for beginners wanting to experiment or for experts wanting a full kit for a project.. Very impressed.

I bought this for my first Home Assistant project and it runs absolutely perfectly. I installed the OS on the SanDisk micro SD card and popped it inside. Went through the setup procedure and it runs everything as hoped. It's tiny (not much bigger than a post it note), dead silent and the only wire connected to it is the power cable. I couldn't be happier

Fantastic set, everything you need and well packed. Clear instructions - software installed on SD card for first boot. I can highly recommend this for first time uses as well. It will be lots of fun.

Ich musste nichts vorbereiten – einfach zusammenbauen, anschließen und starten. Der Pi 5 läuft bei mir als kleiner Mini-Server und arbeitet zuverlässig und stabil. Même si le Raspberry Pi 4 s'en sort très bien avec 4 Go je considère que pour la version 5, si on veut qu'elle dure bien longtemps, il faut investir sur du 8 Go. C'est un pari sur l'avenir. J'ai bien hésité car la différence de prix est quand même importante mais au final je regrette pas car cela va permettre des mises à jour voir une flopée d'add-ons sans que le processeur demande plus de place. Ce kit de démarrage iRasptek contient tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour une installation raspberry au prix le plus juste. Vous avez la carte mémoire SanDisk qui contiendra votre programme, l'alimentation en USB-C qui est le nouveau format du PI 5, un ventilateur à placer directement sur la carte mère et qui s'alimente grâce au connecteurs prévus à cet effet et un boîtier pour éviter de toucher par erreur des composants électroniques de la carte mère. Les boutons reset sont accessibles par l'extérieur du boîtier. Vous pouvez fixer votre carte mère avec des vis directement dans le boîtier mais l'ouverture par le dessus peut se faire par des clips sans avoir besoin de tout bloquer. Les vis sont fournies ainsi que le mini tournevis. L'alimentation ne chauffe pas lors de l'utilisation avec le ventilateur. Pour éviter les vibrations désagréables il y a même 4 pieds en caoutchouc sous le boîtier. Le dessous de la plaque d'aluminium diffusant la chaleur possède en plus des pads de mousse thermique pour bien aux différents processeurs qui génèrent normalement de la chaleur Même si le Raspberry Pi 5 ne dégage pas énormément de chaleur, le fait d'avoir un ventilateur vous permet d'y mettre des applications plus gourmandes. C'est plus anecdotique, un lecteur de carte micro SD vers USB pour pouvoir directement placer votre logiciel est offert mais je considère qu'il vaut mieux utiliser un adaptateur pour éviter les erreurs de connexion. Dans mon cas, il s'agit d'installer home assistant ce qui se fait assez rapidement une fois le programme placé sur la carte mémoire. Il y a d'ailleurs une clé usb C pour faciliter le transfert entre ordinateur et Raspberry ou téléphone. Avec Home assistant il y a normalement pas besoin d'avoir un écran de connecté, mais le boîtier possède toutefois des câbles HDMI pour vous faciliter la vie si rien ne se passe au démarrage. Je n'ai juste pas compris pourquoi il y avait deux câbles HDMI car un seul est suffisant. Je considère qu'il est plus simple de faire le paramétrage réseau directement avec une prise LAN puis ensuite de basculer sur le wifi une fois que tout est connecté. Pour les puristes on dira que de toute façon la connexion LAN est nécessaire pour au assistant et que le Wifi n'est pas recommandé car un gros consommateur électrique. Vraiment rien à redire sur ce kit qui vous permettra de commencer immédiatement votre installation. Le boîtier possède une encoche large au-dessus pour y ajouter une carte d'extension si besoin. Super produit à un prix correct sinon on considère que tout est inclus même avec la carte micro SD haute vitesse d'une marque réputée.

Lo pedí para tener una Raspberry Pi 5 potente y lista rápido, y la verdad es que ha sido un acierto total. El paquete viene con todo separado (placa, carcasa roja y blanca, ventilador activo, disipadores, fuente oficial de 27 W, dos cables HDMI, interruptor, lector de tarjetas y la microSD de 64 GB), pero el montaje es súper sencillo: en 10-15 minutos lo tuve todo armado y perfecto, las instrucciones son claras y todo encaja sin forzar. Lo mejor de todo: la tarjeta de 64 GB viene con Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm 64-bit ya instalado y actualizado. La enchufas y arranca directo al escritorio, cero configuración inicial. Llevo unos días usándola como servidor multimedia con Jellyfin, Pi-hole y algún contenedor Docker y va de maravilla. El ventilador es muy silencioso, la temperatura se queda siempre por debajo de 60 °C y el rendimiento es brutal comparado con la Pi 4 que tenía antes. La carcasa roja y blanca queda muy bonita y disipa bien el calor, y el interruptor de encendido/apagado es un detalle que se agradece mucho. Todo llegó perfectamente empaquetado y en dos días. Por el precio me parece un kit completísimo y de muy buena calidad. Totalmente recomendable, 5 estrellas sin pensarlo. Muy contento con la compra.
