Is the whole treat soft and chewy or are they hard and crunchy.

No the treat isn’t real hard but it is a roll so it will take awhile for a little to medium dog to chew they are chewy some maybe a bit crunchy but I watch my dogs while they chew it and it looks mostly chewy. My dogs love them and I have 4 dogs 2 Beagles 1 Maltese & 1 Toy Poodle and they all eat them I only give the Poodle 1/2 they really like the chicken ones that is their favorite. Hope this helps.🙂
