Works great!!!

Six weeks in and works great, replaced 5KCP39DGY543S from 2008. Came with it's own capacitor (necessary for me, because this motor calls for 6uf capacitor, and the oem motor used a 5uf capacitor. And since the old capacitor powered both the condensor motor and the condensor fan together, I had to add a new wire from a/c power to the new capacitor, which connected to the new motor. So original power wire goes to my old 5uf capacitor (which remained installed) to still power the fan, and new power wire that I made and put wire connectors on went to new capacitor (6uf). I also had to buy a pipe clamp (1 1/4"?) locally in order to mount it inside the a/c. Yes wires and wire insulation are a little thinner than oem but are fine for motor rating.

It’s been working for about a month now without a hitch. The wires are smaller than the ones from my old fan that I hooked. Also, be careful when you tighten up the mounting bolts. They must be the cheapest deal in the entire world. Very easy to strip, so don’t torque them very much at all. I stripped one and was able to use a different nut to get it to work securely and was extra careful on the other three. It comes with a capacitor, but it was different than mine, which has two capacitors so I did not install it. Is working great and a lot cheaper than the $1200. I was quoted by the HVAC company for the same job. Take lots of pictures before you unhook the old one from all angles to make sure you know where the wires go.

This is a diamond in the rough item. It is approved for the common AC unit like mine and it works and it holds up and it will save you a lot of trouble or at least get you to the next unit so I can’t even believe Amazon had this. Thank you.
