Bravado Spice Serrano and Basil Hot Sauce 5fl oz

This one isn't really a hot sauce, more like an every so slightly spicy salsa or pizza sauce. Still very tasty though.

I accidentally ordered an extra bottle of Bravado's Spice Serrano and Basil hot sauce. I'm so glad now. It's delicious! Kudos to the flavor meisters at Bravado. I'll be needing more soon! I ordered several of their flavors to try, seven in all. This was the first I've opened and tried and I am delighted. Heat comes on gradually but doesn't offend. This sauce can stand on flavors alone, though.

Think of your favorite pasta sauce, and then concentrate it into a (mild) hot sauce. The basil flavor is perfect, there's a wonderful "zing" to it, and it just has bags of flavor. Not very hot at all, but I've used it on pizza, pizza rolls, spaghetti and wings so far. The bottle I ordered from Amazon was loose in a box of other items and broke (It was quickly refunded, so no worries) but I have since bought a bottle direct from Bravado and it is straight up one of the best-tasting sauces I've ever tried. All of Bravado Spice's stuff is wonderful. One of the guys who owns it was top 5 on Masterchef, he knows his flavors. Plus they include recipes with every order and on their website which are INCREDIBLE! Highly recommended

Sure wish they sold this by the quart -- or gallon! Since we discovered this flavor, we can't get enough of this. It's not terribly hot but the combination of serrano and basil is a nice variation on the hot sauces that abound. We love it on pizzas!! Try it.

Bravado Spice make some great hot sauces, and I've had generally good experiences with their selection in the past. The Serrano and Basil offering is, unfortunately, a great disappointment. Despite being rated as 3/5 on their heat scale, this sauce barely packs any heat. It probably has less heat than the run-of-the-mill Tabasco hot sauce that can be bought for a fraction of the price. The lack of heat would be acceptable if the sauce had a great flavor. Sadly, the strong vinegar taste does not combine well with the tomato base. The result is a funky sauce that doesn't really go well with anything. It's acceptable on pizza and pasta, if you don't mind the hit of vinegar with every bite, but basically ruins everything else I've put it on. There are plenty of better options out there.

The sauce is phenomenal. Though it is vinegar based, it does not over take the flavor of the serranos and basil. The sauce is great on pasta, eggs, and my favorite pizza! Well packaged and it made it to me safely and quickly!
