Good. Would buy again.
One motor leg was dented but the box was fine. Probably a quality control issue or may be packaging. Works well normally but motor stops working if not in use for a few days. When this happens, I have to open it spin it a few times manually and then it starts to work. I think something is rusted inside.

Great product but needs customer service improvement.
This is a brilliant product by Kirloskar. I am writing the review after 4 months of use Please note that I would like to compare this service with Bosch which had encountered a similar issue and how Bosch folks sorted the issue. My Kirloskar Chotu pump had encountered a small issue where the pump pressure was reduced. I spoke to the customer service who were prompt and professional over phone. Took about 15 min to register the product and provided me with a ticket number (MAR/1643930). This ticket was assigned to what appeared to be a local franchise who was also prompt in giving me a call to fix the problem. Issue occurred when the service engineer visited the site to fix the issue. He verified the pump and reported that the issue was not covered under warranty as the engineer suspected that the product was abused. (we did not have an issue at this point as the product was required for our daily use to supply water to the household) Issue occured when the personnel demanded a bribe from my father to fix the problem unofficially. I think that this is very unprofessional on the part of Kirloskar. The product issue was fixed in about an hour and it was ready for use again. I think companies in India has to grow to this and treat its customers better. In a very similar incident to my Bosch Juicer equipment which had an issue around the same time., The folks had sent their professional home and product was replaced. No questions asked here. Hats off to the service and teams who treat their customers as a king. Rating 3 stars to this product.

Worthwhile, very quiet
TLDR: Worth the cost (bought it for 2830₹) This motor is very quiet. A whirring hum is all the noise it makes. You need to pour water into the system before this pump will begin suction. There is a valve in the intake hole in this pump. What it does is, it prevents water that has reached the pump from flowing back into the source when you turn it off. The first thing my plumber did was remove this and instead installed a plastic foot valve at the end of the pipe that sucks the water. So now, the water remains in this pipe as well. As long as we keep the water in there, we don't have to pour water every time we run the pump. In the video, the pump is pulling water from the foundation pit of a boundary wall I am building. The bottom is mud. If mud particles get into the system, next time you turn it on the pump gets stuck since it is only .5 HP. But it is not a big deal. If this happens just turn off, unplug, then unscrew the cover over the fan at the opposite end and gently but firmly turn it and the mud and sand particles jamming it gets crushed and frees up the rotor. Also hang the intake pipe so that it does not touch the muddy/sandy bottom of any water source you are pumping. According to my plumber, this pump can suck water out of a depth of upto 10 feet. He un-officially added that it can also suck from upto a depth of 20 feet or so, but this is not guaranteed. The lift power of this pump is much higher (around 25 feet) but depends on how deep the water is being sucked from. If it is from too deep, the motor is already spending a lot of energy pulling, so the push will also be limited. Hope my experience with this pump helps you make a decision.
