It works great
I don't usually write reviews but after putting my husbands Compression socks for weeks my back was tired. This sock dinner WORKS. We watched the YouTube video on how to use it and it's not quite correct. The hardest part is learning to pull the socks on the sock donner. It becomes easier with practice and the apparatus comes in calf sizes, so order the correct size, it does make a difference. Pull the sock clear to the top so only the toe, about 2 inches is left in the sock donner ti wards you, insert foot, and pull up on handles. Socks are on and should've above calves. YouTube video is helpful., but do pull the socks further up than the video says. It's sturdy and works well. We had another first but it was flimsy. Good luck

Don't Bother with this 'Upgraded' Sock Aid – It Fell Apart!
I recently picked up the Upgraded Extra-Large Compression Sock Aid Device (2024 Design, White), really hoping it would be the answer to my compression sock struggles. Out of the box, I was actually pretty optimistic! It definitely looked like it would be a game-changer compared to those flimsy ones made of thick wire rods. This one uses poles, kind of like mini tent poles but a bit smaller in diameter, and I thought, "Okay, this looks sturdy. This looks like a much more robust and thought-out design." I really thought I'd finally found a decent solution to make putting on those tight socks a bit easier. But, oh boy, did those first impressions drop fast. Literally the first time I tried to use it, the whole thing just became loose. I mean, really loose, not just a little wiggle. It felt like it was going to fall apart right in my hands, which is not what you want when you're trying to wrestle a compression sock! Naturally, I thought, "Okay, maybe it just needs tightening." So I grabbed a screwdriver and tried to snug up the screws. Guess what? It didn't help one bit. If anything, it seemed to make the problem even worse, like the threading was stripped or the components just weren't designed to hold together under any kind of stress. It went from looking like a solid piece of equipment to a wobbly, unreliable mess in under a minute of actual use. So, what started as a promising solution quickly turned into a frustrating mess that offers no help at all. This 'Upgraded' 2024 Design clearly has some serious fundamental flaws in its construction or materials. Save yourself the hassle and the money. My bottom line is simple: look for a better solution, because this isn't it. Huge disappointment.

Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Works great.
I am a 6' 1'' guy with size 12 feet and, I have to say this thing works great. It assembled in a minute or two. Start to finish I was able to load the compression sock on it, stick my foot in it, and pull the handles as I pushed my foot. I've been having my wife put a sock on with a lot of trouble but those days are gone! Works absolutely as advertized. Worth every penny.

It does work!!!
It takes a lot of time and effort to make sure you get the sock placed in the correct position to be able to get it on. After several attempts I was able to get the sock positioned and get it on; by myself. It does work well but it's not easy.

Reduces the strain on my body and my arthritis to put my compression hose on! Great purchase!
I am extremely grateful for this piece of equipment for assisting me in putting on my thigh high 20-30 pressure compression hose. I was very worried about the width of an assisting device due to my 13-3xWidth size feet and the length of the handles due to my bad back. At 73 years of age everything seems to hurt when putting these lever of compression hose on. After being forced to increase from my regular anti-embolism level compression to this level of compression my arthritis, which had started hurting my hands a lot, just couldn't handle the pain of the 20-30 level of compression. I found this brand and style of donning device and instantly felt more comfortable with what I was looking at. Upon receiving these I was concerned with the little package and wondered how it would work but was somewhat more comfortable when I realized they were just not put together yet didn't require any screws or bolts. I inserted the handles and the spring loaded lock buttons snapped into place easily and then the cushions for contacting the floor were snapped onto the bottom and we were ready to go. I watched the donning video several times and was not happy with how quickly they jumped past the critical point of how to know when the hose were pulled onto the heel point position to the top of the frame properly. So, the first couple of attempts to put these thigh high hose on were disappointing to say the least. As a retired engineer with years of experience in heavy manufacturing I decided I would not return these things without thinking through the whole process without a decent video to demonstrate the usage of this donning device. I set the frame in my lap and pulled my thigh high hose on carefully and focused on the heel just popping over the top frame loop, when that happened I could clearly see that at that position the hose held themselves in position without trying to slip back down the tapered frame where I was trying to hold all the material of the long thigh high hose. I then slid my big feet into the hose and pulled up on the extra long handles without having to hurt my back and the hose just flowed up till I could lower my hands to the bottom set of hand grips and pull them up to my knees easily. At this point, without a video to show how to proceed, I realized I couldn't pull them up any further. A typical set of hose that comes just to the knees would of course be completely in place so with thigh high I just grasp the top of the hose easily and slid the frame back down out of the remainder of the thigh high hose and finished pulling the tops into place. I was also shocked by how the gloves made the donning process easier to accomplish. I have used this donning device for 20 plus donning sessions as I wear these thigh highs every day and it is so easy and has really lowered the daily finger-hand pain I had suffered everyday after putting my hose on and fighting them over my big feet and especially my heel! If I had little feet like my wife has I think I could just jump into them after having my hose in place on this frame. I appreciate the thinking that went into the design of these assistance devices and am pleased by how light they are yet so much sturdier than I thought possible, but then after many years of working in a heavy earthmoving manufacturing facility as an engineer and having to overbuild everything due to the nature of the equipment I realized this donning device aas excellent and more than adequate.

Big calves, not good product.
Listen, this product works as intended but if the individual has large calves then don't get it. My husband said, "It went on my foot fine, but it's not wide enough to go over my calves. So disappointed" not in product but in product.

Impossible to use
I ordered the extra-large compression sock aid device because I am having hip surgery and need to be able to put on my socks without bending over. When the device arrived, I assembled it (easily) and put it to the test - about fifteen times. (I got the X-LG because my calf measures 18".) Stretching the sock across the top of the aid was nearly impossible and hurt my hands, and I was never able to get it positioned so that the heel was at the top as required for proper insertion of the foot. The video makes it look easy - it's not. I finally gave up and am returning it for a refund. I haven't figured out an alternative, but this isn't it.
