Seben 38-114x70 Ultra Zoom Mak spotting scope SC3 1.25" 870mm + Tripod

First off I am very happy with the quality and service I received from Seben. The spotting scope only took three days to arrive from Germany and I was able to track it too. In comparison I have previously owned both Tasco and Celestron spotting scopes / telescopes in the past and this is the first time I've used a Seben product. As for the quality of the optics I haven't noticed any difference between them and the previous manufacturers scopes I've owned and this is a good thing. The scope is lightweight and very portable which is one of the main reasons I bought it. The tube is made from sturdy plastic (but looks like metal) which might not appeal to some but for me it seems to do the job of housing the optics and focus mechanism just fine. As for the tripod I would suggest investing in a full size adjustable one, not that there's anything wrong with the one included but it's only a table tripod at the end of the day. It is very steady but only has adjustable tilt. The base mount on the tripod has a quick release mechanism and a standard size screw thread which fits most scopes and cameras etc. To sum up I think it's a great little scope and although it's not designed primarily for astronomical viewing it does serve well for viewing the moon which is what I use it for mainly, it is also possible to see Jupiter although not in great size and detail but it really is designed for terrestrial viewing and that's where it excels.

I bought it because i love to have something what i can use to look at closer BUT this is just waste of money it look great till u not try look trough it there is no way that i can see something nice and clear in distance like 400m and if i try to zoom it the picture is just blur no way to make it clear not even crisp but what i expect for that price . if i want something better it also cost. So please if anyone thinking about it read this it is honest review not bul....t . I'm so disappointed with it can use it at all front ring with all names just felt off it is just rubber with all names as Seben and so on . I hope the people who give 5 stars on it will get money back for this :)) cose they help me to bay it !

It is useless for astronomy 22mm eyepiece zoom is not able to see a Jupiter moon that a £10 pound monocular can see the Jupiter moons. If you are in looking at birds it will be fine on sunny day. J

I am very pleased with this little device which brings distant objects a LOT closer. The focus and zoom work smoothly, the images are clear.

Not quite powerful enough

La rueda de enfoque venía defectuosa con lo cual no hace foco y no se ve nada pido un rembolso y tengo que pagar los gastos de envío en fin una semana de pedidos para olvidar

Kikaren svår att ställa in skärpa. Litet synfält. Användbar främst om man har fast inställning mot t ex en pricktavla. Ej användbar att fokusera på t ex båtar mm där man snabbt behöver växla plats. För mig var köpet en besvikelse. Kikaren var mer att betrakta som en leksak.

après réception de mon colis je déballe et la un cache avant ne tient pas sur l'objectif (filetage trop petit) je teste le produit image trouble et grossissement vraiment inférieur a celui annonce la qualité et vraiment très très mauvaise même les article commander en chine sont meilleur et coûte beaucoup moins de 90€ . je suis vraiment déçu je pense que un article comme celui la ne devrait pas être vendu . je deconceille vraiment ce produit ATTENTION

Arrivato oggi , pessima confezione, scatola di cartone riadattata senza un minima di spiegazioni , poco male , tolta l'ottica da applicare , controllo le numerazioni sia sul corpo del telescopio sia sull'ottica da nessuna parte risulta 38-114x70 . Mi preoccupo ma non essendo un tecnico preferisco collaudarlo . Lo monto in parallelo con un altro monoscopio Burris model.high country che porta stampato 15-45x50 . Li punto sulla targa di un auto a 180 metri . Nonostante tenti in tutti i modi il telescopio SC3"ultra zoom"mak38-114x70 non riesce a sviluppare un immagine nitida sopra i 35/40(nonostante si dichiara per 114) ingrandimenti con una risoluzione quasi notturna pur essendo le 15 di un luminoso pomeriggio di maggio . Una inferiorità lampante che si percepisce immediatamente rispetto all'altro strumento sebbene (il Burris) sia tecnicamente datore di minor prestazioni . Cosa dire : UNA DELUSIONE! Non compratelo costa poco ,delude tanto .

El telescopio da una imagen bastante clara a 34 aumentos, reduciéndose la luminosidad en el máximo aumento. Aunque no es un telescopio astronómico, he podido observar la nebulosa de Orion. La Luna se ve muy bien. También lo he probado con un ocular Celestron de 32 mm, lo que da unos 26 aumentos y una imagen luminosa. El anillo de enfoque se maneja bien; hay que girarlo despacio para enfocar con precisión. El trípode, de sobremesa, es metálico, ligero y adecuado al peso del telescopio. La funda, con cierre velcro, es de tela tipo lona, con una correa del mismo material. Estoy satisfecho con la compra. Lo encuentro de buena calidad por un precio asequible. Lo valoro con cuatro estrellas.
