Got a bargain price and high 5 products always work really well in terms of energy and essential electrolytes. Some of the flavours are personal taste but most I find decent. Bottle lasts well

Bargain for what you get. You could spend this money alone on just a bottle so to get all the extras is well worth it.

This is a good starter set for trying a selection of HIGH5 products without committing to full packs of everything first. It gives you options covering energy, hydration and recovery, making it useful for working out which products and flavours suit you. The individual portions are also convenient for taking out on a run, ride or other activity. Some items will naturally be more useful than others depending on how you exercise, but the variety is the main point of the set. A practical introduction to the HIGH5 range and a good option for anyone just starting to use sports nutrition products.

Great value pack

I probably wouldn't buy this again, I think I'll have nightmares about the "citrus" flavoured tablets. I'd maybe buy the energy drink powder and go for SIS tablets. Bottle: Has a nice feature where you can half depress the lid for a decent seal, and pull gently on it to drink from it. I would say not as nice as the SIS large which has the rubbery mouthpiece. I suspect the hardness of the mouthpiece on this bottle makes it last longer. Tablets: Hypotonic-ish so they're for water uptake more than anything. Taste as mentioned is pretty low key, like very dilute poor quality squash, even when doubling. I didn't find much benefit but this whole review comes with the caveat that winter riding is a lot more difficult. Recovery drink: Very nice actually, more drinkable than whey protein shake but full of sugar and carbs so that probably explains that. I usually go 50/50 water and milk for shakes. Energy drink: This tastes like a sugarfree lucozade sport of a similar flavour, and though it's not as nice, it helped me tick along fairly nicely and have the energy to climb some hills. I think it's probably better balanced than the lucozade. Gels: I'm not a fan of the flavour or texture of any gels really, I prefer to have some solid food with me, but these do the job for the times when you just want a short ride, or think you should probably stick some extra food in the back pocket. Just as weird and insipid as SIS gels.
