Perfect for mobile remote workers
I work remote, so I work from different locations often, and need a full workstation setup similar to what I'd have at home. As such, I need everything I carry with me to be compact, light, and as functional as possible. I carry my laptop, full TKL mechanical keyboard, mouse, 18" 4K monitor, and all the cables/adapters I could need. Space and weight are at a premium as a result. I previously had a super heavy (yet robust) portable monitor stand that did the trick, but didn't offer much height to get to near eye-level at a desk - so I had to prop it up with a book, or a ream of paper. Not an ideal solution. Then, I found this portable monitor stand. Honestly, I'm blown away at the quality of the build- it feels solid and well-made, and it stands firm (remember, the trick is to adjust and tighten the screws, and balance the screen to the position of the feet). The VESA stand fits and works perfectly well with my portable monitor's 75 x 75 VESA mount, and is stable. For the price, this is sincerely one of my most favorite pieces of kit in terms of value, because it's not just a portable monitor stand... you can use it as a selfie stick, a tripod for a camera/phone/GoPro/Insta360, etc. ALSO - HIDDEN BONUS - everything takes a standard 1/4" tripod screw, so you can mount the system to monopods, or anything you can think of. And, finally - portability... this can be packed "horizontally" with everything taken apart, or you can keep the tripod + pole + ballhead together for "vertical" storage in a backpack... so it's super portable. EXACTLY what I needed for my remote workstation bag. Seriously, no idea why Amazon says this is "frequently returned", because I freakin' love this thing. Buy this *NOW*.

Versatile, lightweight stable, and Durable
Was about to buy the ASUS 4k travel monitor and stand. This stand comes with a small VESA mount that is quite slim and quite lightweight. It folds down into a pretty small, but longer for travel or to slide in my work backpack. All the adjustments allow for good stability and the ability to get my monitor into the right spot to help be productive in my workday. Great value for the price and have a nice build quality to it.

Good quality but forseeable failure point
The quality is good. Metal everywhere. However, I can see the point of failure already if you this is for a portable setup where you need to unscrew the tripod over and over again. The thread to the VESA mount seems like it will wear down over time.

Excellent travel stand for using on the go. Supports a 17.3" USB C monitor no problem.
I'm using this with the UPerfect 4K portable USB-C monitor and it works so well. The monitor had the vesa mount screws so it was easy to attach. I also have a second 15" 1080s display and that one didn't have screws, but I ordered an extra plate and used 3M double-sided (grey heavy duty) to mount the vesa plate to it. This is a must have for traveling with mini-workstations, M4 Mac Minis, or if you just want an extra screen with your laptop.

Mediocre !
Wobbly if you put anything more than 2 lbs on it.

Best portable vesa stand on the market
Despite the low reviews on this product it is made with quality in mind. The tripod design of this stand makes it lightweight, portable, and sturdy. Additionally, the included vesa mount and screws are a good plus as most portable monitors lack both. Overall, this monitor stand seems to best on the market and should last for a good while.

Bought as a stand for a portable monitor... it's GREAT
I've only had this for a few hours, but the build quality is great, the adjustability is just what I wanted, and everything is good solid metal. I expect this to hold up well. First impressions are good for sure. Edit: I've owned it for a few months and used it on several trips, I like this a lot. Excellent quality, does the job well, packs down small (rod + clamp), would recommend. I use it with the UPerfect 18" portable monitor.

Horrible unstable for portable monitors if you want any height
Extremely wobbly and the connections become loose over time due to any kind of vibration. It works fine if set lower and if what you are using is perfectly even in weight distribution. For cameras and small tablets, this would be fine.

This is exactly the type of product I was looking for, easy to bring with me when travelling, not too bulky but solid and sturdy enough for handling my portable monitors. I have 2 17” monitors, unfortunately without vesa ready standard, so I had to opt for a different attachment to the stands. I can say I am really pleased with this product.

Really impressive build quality. All-metal, feels solid, well packaged. Genuinely surprised and impressed by the standard of this product! Note - I did need to trim the bottom corners off the VESA mounting bracket to fit my mini-monitor, but that is due to my monitor - not the stand.
