Is this drawstring backpack waterprooft?

My kids use it for swim team, and it does seem to be waterproof. It is a really nice quality fabric and it is much thicker and durable than it may look. My daughter's shampoo spilled in it, and it did make a stain on the outside but we didn't have any shampoo residue on my carseat. I highly recommend these bags.

Would it be able to hold of lot of weight? 30-40 pounds

I don't carry that much however it is very sturdy and the straps are very thick.
