Applied this as part of my fall over seeding project in early Sept. It did a great job of preventing any new weeds throughout the fall. It also surprisingly killed some existing broad leaf weeds that I had in my lawn even without a surficant which you would normally use if you are trying to kill pre-existing weeds. It did temporarily bleach some of my pre-existing fine fescue. But within a couple of weeks it recovered and was back to normal after a couple of mowings. I will definitely use this for my next over seeding project.

Be Patient. This stuff really works, but it took 10 to 14 days to really show up. I was quite disappointed after I first applied this stuff. I meticulously followed the label directions - 1 teaspoon of product per 2 gallons, plus 3 teaspoons of an adjuvant (I used Dawn dish liquid which works great) to help it stick to the crabgrass. I didn't see any measurable difference the first 5 or 6 days. I sprayed a total of 8 gallons on my front and two side lawns, then took a break. (I estimate that I have a good 12,000 to 15,000 sq ft of lawn in the front and two sides of the house. A couple days later, I used a regular store-bought weed spray that I attached to my hose to do the back yard the next day. (I had quite a bit of crabgrass!) I did not duplicate the treatment area. The Store-bought pre-mixed hose spray seemed to work within a day, as the crabgrass looked like it was wilting, but I just checked on it again about 10 days later and some of the crabgrass back there seems to be greening up again! That did take out 2 or 3 other type of weeds, so I'm not totally disappointed in the hose spray product, but it's efffect on the crabgrass itself was quicker, but weaker, if that makes any sense. However, the spray that I did out front and on the two side lawns has turned almost every blade of crabgrass white - and it looks to me like about half of the crabgrass plants in the lawn have simply disappeared! (What's IN this stuff?!) I still have a ways to go to rescue my entire lawn from this summer's heat, but it's looking a LOT better today than when I first applied it about 18 days ago! After giving the back yard lawn a break, I will go out there and spray this stuff on the crabgrass back there, probably next week. I will buy this stuff again. I will have used 5 of the 8 ounces that come in the bottle this summer. The 3 ounces I have left may get me through 2026 if I jump on the crabgrass early enough. (One review I had seen on a YouTube video said that this product also has some pre-emergent effect, so I may not get as much crabgrass next year. I don't know at this point.)

Worked after 6 days. The weeds began to turn white

Great product. The weeds had taken over 90% of my yard. This product killed the weeds. I like the way you can see the white residue. So you know where you sprayed. I was able to do a complete renovation of my lawn. Now I have plush green grass.

This product worked great on my yard. There is enough for me to use next year as well. I put it down twice, and there is a substantial improvement in the niblewill I am trying to eliminate. I did have trouble with the pressure in the 1 gallon dispenser, but an email to the manufacturer resulted in a quick replacement and a friendly offer by Anne to give me an extended warranty on the replacement for my peace of mind. This is probably the best warranty and customer service I've ever had from a company!

Mesotrione is a highly effective herbicide that not only kills broad-leaf weeds but more undesirable grasses than any other product. Originally it was super expensive under the trade name Tenacity, to the point where only a few professionals even used it. Price is now reasonable and don't be thrown off by the small quantity bottle as you only use a little per gallon. PLUS it can also be used as a pre emergent. Also I would highly recommend buying it from Petra Tools along with their surfactant. My experience with Petra Tools has been great regarding customer service. I was further impressed that they included an easy to understand mixing chart. Like I said this is a professional grade product and sometimes the information on the package can get overly technical & confusing.

Used for crabgrass amongst a southern lawn. Mixed exactly as the instructions dictate and use a surfactant as well as a die. It did not negatively impact my lawn at all, and I used it three times, more frequently than the instructions allowed for, and it did a partial kill on the crab grass is all. My suspicion is it’s not mixed as strongly as promised. It’s fairly expensive as a chemical thus the three star rating for moderate performance.

Package arrived exactly as in the photograph. The rubber gloves are a nice touch for handling the herbicide to avoid skin contact. Unfortunately, I do not think this herbicide works at all, at least at the recommended dilution amount. I even used a bit stronger formulation in particularly weedy areas, with no apparent effect. I've used tenacity in the past, which has always worked wonderfully. Two weeks after application of this product, the whitening hasn't begun, and weeds appear to be thriving. I feels as this was quite a waste of time, as lawn will need another treatment, I will go with a product that works. This product absolutely packaged as described, but does not seem to prevent or kill weeds at all.
