Absolutely addictive! The Mindf*ck Series by S.T. Abby had me hooked from the very first page. Lana is a fierce, unforgettable heroine, and the blend of dark romance, revenge, suspense, and twists kept me turning pages nonstop. The chemistry between Lana and Logan was incredible, and the ending was everything I hoped for. If you love dark romance with morally gray characters and a fast-paced plot, this series is a must-read. Be sure to check the trigger warnings before diving In!

I've already resigned myself to the fact that no review I could ever write will do this book/series justice. Mere words cannot hope to encapsulate how perfect Mindfck is. Yes. PERFECT. While this is a serial killer/dark romance, at its core it is a brilliant revenge story, a story about a young woman who by some miracle managed to survive the complete upending of her life, the harrowing destruction of her soul, her sense of self. What happened to her and her family left me genuinely sick, horrified, and a bit numb after a while. The absolute depths of depravity and evil are just... I will never have the words. (For sensitive readers, I beg you to take those trigger warnings seriously. They are no joke.) What follows, however, is Lana's brilliant and pitiless revenge upon an entire town that tried to silence her, upon those that did her unspeakable wrong... it is a brutal retribution that I think any survivor of SA wishes they could enact in some way, shape, or form. Because that's really what this book drives home - that corruption is literally in every aspect of our society and there are too many forced to endure as victims, too many denied any semblance of meaningful justice or peace. In that sense, this is definitely a revenge fantasy on steroids... but there's so much soul to this book and the characters are all fantastic. You'd have to be completely devoid of empathy not to root for Lana. This book is a catharsis. It is violent and bloody? Without a doubt. Is this all kinds of morally dark gray? Absolutely. Did I still relish in Lana getting her revenge after what she endured, though? Without a doubt, yes. This book is the perfect balance of compelling plot, tension, unexpected twists & turns, mystery, dark comedy, heat, romance, and a surprising amount of heart. The writing is brilliant, the pacing is excellent, and the romance between Lana and Logan is impossible not to be emotionally invested in. The entire time I was fully in support of Lana getting her long overdue revenge while also hoping her and Logan's relationship would somehow survive in the aftermath, because Lana deserves some freaking happiness and peace, yes, but also their chemistry is just so good, those two were made for each other. This book has left a mark on the very core of my being. With a timeless message about suffering, healing, and the refusal to be silenced, this book offers catharsis to anyone who has ever gone without receiving the justice they deserved. Easily one of my favorite books/series of all time, hands down. This deserves way more than 5 stars. C.M. Owens was a brilliant writer and while I'm heartbroken to hear that she's no longer with us, I'm so grateful for this story she left behind. I will be carrying it with me for the rest of my life.

Just finished this series - loved it - the writing is so clear and straight forward and loving the characters - the book is written entirely on the perspective of the 2 main characters and each chapter basically alternates - the storyline may not be for everyone but it is definitely worth reading - highly recommend

Love this book! Grammar & spelling aren't the greatest, but the storyline is great. I couldn't put it down.

Best series! I absolutely loved this book. I read it so dang fast within two days. It is for sure 10 out of 10, and I cannot find another exciting book like this.

𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: ♾️🌟 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄: 3/5 I have no words…I really don’t. This series ATE!! I’m kicking my own a$$ for not reading it sooner. I have no complaints & no criticism. And I will take ZERO of either! 👏🏻👏🏻 Lana is the ultimate definition of female rage and no one will ever compare to her. The torture her & her family went through is literally what nightmares are made of. The town she grew up in was pure evil and sadly this town had some similarities to a town next to where I grew up. I personally have someone very close to me that came from a family similar to the family that ruled this town…she got out but not without some emotional trauma. I think maybe that’s why this book hit me so hard. But I digress…Lana is 👏🏻my 👏🏻girl…there isn’t a moment in this book where I thought what she was doing was wrong. I’ve never fist pumped the air harder every time she got her revenge! Logan…oh Logan, my sweet FBI profiler…you were so blinded by love. You were good at your job but I think maybe sub consciously you chose to ignore so many signs. As frustrating as he was, I understand his dilemma & I actually sympathized with him…but I will defend Lana with my whole chest!🫡 Seriously the balance between every single inch of this book was perfect 🤌🏻 Nothing was too slow & nothing was too fast…it was just right. The chemistry between Lana and Logan was off the charts. I laughed, I cried, I jumped up & down cheering Lana on. Every name scratched off, every k!ll, every terrified man begging for his pathetic life, every steamy moment, & every side character that gave so much depth to the overall story…I felt it ALL. This series is forever engrained into my brain, heart and soul. 🍎Please do yourself a solid & go read this RIGHT NOW!! I promise you this is one series WILL NOT FALL FLAT!

This is a must read. It has a great story and keeps you reading. I loved it!

A wild ride! Not for everyone as it is highly graphic in serial killer violence and sex. Quick read that kept me guessing.

Love this book. Is so chunky and the materials are nice

I haven't finished the whole series yet, but I am currently on, "All the lies" (I believe that's what it's called), which is the fourth book. This is the first dark romance that has caught my attention and, while the writing was very simple (she did this, he said this, this is how she felt), it was surprisingly very good! The two main character's relationship was most sexual at the start which I didn't personally love reading, but I have loved watching them take on more of a caring, loving type of relationship as they became official and more serious about one another. I think that even if you don't really love dark romances, this is the book that may be the exception like it was for me. I also really loved slowly figuring out the horrific crimes that some of the criminals have commited, and love how it all wraps into one interesting, sick, and well written FBI crimes that are likely to happen in our world. However, with crimes that are very sick, there are going to be quite a few TW's. The one's I can remember at the moment are: 1. Murder 2. Sexual Assault of a minor 3. Rape of a minor 4. Homophobia, and homophobic slurs 5. Being held down/restrained (during a murder, SA, and rape) There will for sure be many more, but I can't recall them all right now, but for sure check them beforehand if you are wanting to pick up this amazing book! (I personally rated the first one a 4/5, the second a 4.25/5 star, and the third a 4.5/5. There is so much to love about this book, the wonderful romance, the humor, the sick and twisted scenes that just make you wanna close the book and take a breather, and the FBI side of this story which is actually becoming one of my faves.

This is THE GREATEST BOOK ever written when it comes to serial killer romance — actually it’s just the greatest book ever, though some might disagree and they’d be wrong. It’s perfect. The book is so thought through, and you’re not really sure what the plan is, neither what Lana plans nor what the author is planning as you go along but you just keep reading because it is awesome. I have never been on the exact same wavelength as a character before but here it’s just spot on! It’s truly amazing how the main character is so real and so relatable and funny! There’s sarcasm, jokes, trauma, abuse, rape and murder, torture, screams and sex. I cried. Multiple times! And when it was done, I cried some more, mostly because the author is dead and the book was finished. I have legit read over a hundred books since this one and non compare.

A story that will shake you to your core and make you question even your own morality. A five series book which captures your attention from the very first go. At the start of every chapter there are quips from Albert Einstein, Voltaire, William Shakespeare and Confucius. At first glance it seems these quips are random at most but as you proceed through the book you will discover their personal relation to the FMC and how in each chapter they have served as a poetic tool. This is a story of revenge, pain and love where the dark and gruesome reality of our society has been painted with the rawest colour of red. A love so deep that it grounded the angel of death and made the daylight hero question everything he stood for. A girl who dragged through the worst form of pain and survived. Every time a rotten soul was taken out, the ending wielded a poetic justice: a morbid poetic justice. I can't say I am ashamed to admit that I was happy when the monsters got what they deserved at the end of the day. So if you are looking for a strong FMC story with morally questionable actions and a love that is pure as anything that could be out there but still painted with darkness, I would suggest you to give it a read. This story will make you cry for the pure souls, will make you enraged for the injustice, believe that love can perish through everything, and finally be happy to see the monsters being dragged to hell.

Seriously, read about this book on a amarican thriller group.. The price was holding me back but in the end I was happy I bought and read this one. It has all the things a good thriller needs to have.. The twists are epic.
