I got this to try to determine if our old fridge was working correctly and to dial in the temperature more precisely (with an analog knob). The high low values made it clear that we needed to replace the appliance - the temperature in the cool side was fluctuating between cold and freezing or cold and too warm. Still using the thermometer around the house in the winter to identify closet spaces that aren't well enough insulated.

I dont feel its very accurate

When I got this, the first thing I did was to set it out in the kitchen out of the AC flow, and I put the remote probe close to the back side, but not touching anything, and waited to see what readings I got. I am happy to say it settled out to only be ½ degree different. I like it showing the high and low temperatures for both inside and outside in order to have an understanding of how and why the temperature fluctuates. On the down side, the stick on magnet they give you is pretty weak, and if you put it on the refrigerator door, it might fall off when you shut the door. I have some Neodymium Magnets I glued on the back to take care of that issue. But I feel the most lacking item is a button that would light up the display for 5-10 seconds so you can read the numbers. I am going to rate it a 4 because of the poor quality magnet and not having a light up display.

Works well. Just have to make sure the seal on the freezer doesn’t leave an air gap. Battery is lasting

I got this to keep more accurate tabs on my cube fridge, which I think is a freakin' brilliant idea
