I bought two previous roller shade units just months before. I was very happy with the purchase made. So when I purchased this for my patio door I bought the unit with the motor and the CHARGING Cable. Not the power cord Charging cable. So I get it in place and can't figure out why it wont hold a charge. I contacted the company and they informed that this unit does not have a battery and it needs to be plugged in at all times. I do not have an outlet near this. I contacted them to ask them for a solution and they suggested the solar panel charger that works with. ..... the motor battery unit. My unit does not have a battery hence that will not work. Honestly this is beyond words disappointing. If I had known this motor didn't have charging I would have bought a different model from someone who could. This is awful.
