Absolutely love the iSpring line of products! Easy to install and service. On the rare occasion there is an issue, customer service has been right there to help with any issue. I recently had a malfunctioning filter cartridge and I called to get some guidance. Spoke with Nick and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and come up with a solution. Could not be happier with iSpring and will continue to purchase their products to install for my customers!

**2022 UPDATE** The head unit started leaking outside through one of the screws on top. Definitely a crack of some sort. I called support to ask if there was anything I can do to fix it and Nick said they would replace the unit entirely. I was floored at the level of customer service. You literally do not get this kind of care/support anywhere. Thanks goes to Nick and the iSpring team! First off, shout out to Don who works at ispring for helping me out. TL;DR - Great Unit, Don at iSpring was extremely excellent, if I had a chance to do-over, i might have gone for the bigger unit (most likely will if I ever replace this one) I bought this unit in 2019, but didn't install it until I moved into my current house. Boy oh boy was it a nightmare getting in. I'm a DIYer and love a good challenge. I'll spare my details, but basically I had to change where I mounted it because of the location of the water line coming in and the space around it. Note* I did not install a bypass, but rather an inline-leg. So to change the filters I have to shut the water off at the house. I'm fine with that, but others may not be. Once installed tho, the water chambers filled nicely. Water started flowing. About 2 mins later, the unit started leaking at the in/out female connector. That was my fault, not enough Teflon. But the male/male connectors in between also started dripping. I called support and spoke with Don who was very informative and helpful. He suggested different Teflon (Blue Monster - excellent stuff more on that later). He was also shocked about the leak in between the filters so he said he would send a replacement head unit. Unit arrived and unfortunately it was a new model type where the filters were closer together so I had to cut my pipe up a bit to make it fit. Teflon Blue Monster, YMMV, but I put 6 wraps on it and put the male connector in, then backed it out to put 4 more wraps on it. The 6 wraps formed this nice plastic sheath/coating on the male connector so I knew it would make an excellent seal this time (the original Teflon I used was like 4 wraps of cheap lowes stuff, and it disintegrated as it came out). New unit in place, turn the water back on. No leaks on the in/out connection. However, the male/male connector in between the filter did start to have water form up. I took pictures and sent them over to Don. I opted for compensation of 1 set of new filters as I would rather not have to install another head unit. IF/When the leak progresses , I'll see if I can wrap the connector units with blue monster as well. Water taste is great, I love that it's 0 waste and the whole house has nice clean water. It's so comforting to know that even my toilets are filled with purified filtered gold. Hopefully this is helpful. If you take nothing else away, know that my case is unique. I don't think it happens often. But iSpring WILL take very good care of you.

After reviewing my options I device to purchase the I Spring Whole House Water System with the sediment filter and two carbon filters. All though my city water quality is not bad the water always had a prominent taste of chlorine. After the installation and running the unit for a day I no longer had the taste of chlorine. Skill level: for a DIY installation would require about a 3 out of 10 to complete. Tools required are basic. PVC cutter or hack saw Channel Lock pliers A set of screw drivers and or battery power impact drill. Materials required PVC fittings as needed. I decided to install 3 by pass valves so I could run my system with the filter or with out, I also opted for an entry pressure gauge and an exit pressure gauge in order to be able monitor the longevity of the filters total spent was about $125 dollars on installation materials. Installation hints 1 make sure you wrap the incoming and out going threaded fittings super well. I dint and had to remove them and re install. I figure thats why there’s instructions in the package that tell you to wrap each of the fittings 12 times with the provided thread tape. 2 do your lay out or dry run cut and place the fittings Pryor to installation or gluing. 3. make sure you mark all the fitting that you have glued as you go along trust me I was distracted several times and I missed a couple on the first mock up. 4. Make sure you remove the filters plastic lining before you tighten filters.😀 All in all in wasn’t a hard installation process and I saved a ton of money by purchasing this unit from Amazon and installing it myself. weeks after I purchased the unit I received a flyer from one of the big lot stores for more then double what I paid for the unit. No more buying water bottles good for my pocket and the emviroment.

Update 2.7.22. These filter housings are the worst I have ever installed. It took 3 attempts to stop the leakage from the female threaded housing. I used triple-thick Teflon tape and T2 Dope reinforced with fibers. I wrapped the triple thick tape 7 times and then applied a thick layer of pipe dope (the best they make of both). Let it sit for a few hours (though not required) and installed the 3 filter housings. Turned on the water and dang two of them leaked (though slightly). I tightened them a quarter turn and it appeared to stop the leak. An hour later a droplet appeared on both, I turned it a 1/8th of a turn tighter., so far so good, no leaking. If it leaks again, I will take apart the two fittings, put 8-10 wraps of the TRIPLE thick Teflon, and apply the pipe dope. Take my advice and follow my instructions or buy a different filter system. (my buddy a machinist said "the manufacturer made a defective threaded housing unit"). Besides that, I have plumbed dozens of homes and commercial projects, and never have I experienced such a poor-quality product. Needs to be recalled as defective. Update 2.5.22 7.36 pm. Took apart 6 threaded connections, used plumbers dope sealant and reconnected fittings, allowed dope sealant to set up for 1.5 hours, though the sealant does not require any drying time. Dang, It LEAKED again! I am again taking it apart and am going to use both Teflon tape and the dope sealant. ISpring unit is really poorly designed at the female thread connection. The first review today was @ 5.30 pm. I read the warnings from others installing this unit and the seller's recommendations. I wrapped the threaded connections 10 times with Teflon tape (the good Teflon stuff) I Turned on the water and dang all 6 threaded connections at the ISpring filter housings leaked.

Product filters out chlorine and other chemicals. This is especially needed in the St. Louis area as we have the highest concentration of antidepressants in our water in the country. You'd think the crime would be lower, but . . . Had one in our old house without any issues at all. Bought one for the new house and it leaked. CS sent a new head unit; wrong one. I bought a second one since I assumed I ruined the first by over tightening. I followed the instructions to the letter. Still leaks. I think the issue is with the plastic threads. I hope they can figure out what the issue is because it is a great product. Addendum: I looked up online how to seal plastic fittings. The provided instructions were incomplete. Never use teflon tape (their recommendation) or plumber's putty in plastic. The correct way is to hand tighten the fitting, then turn NO MORE than 1/2 turn. The female threads in plastic fittings are tapered. Over tightening can distort or crack the fitting. When I recover from this expense, I'm replacing this unit with one with brass fittings. That will solve the problem.

We have city water and it’s not terrible- but I don’t like the chlorine taste and was sick of constantly replacing my under sink water filter element, so I dove in and got this whole house filter. I was impressed with the size and quality of the unit and I really like the dual-pass carbon filter elements, great for removing odor/taste and trace minerals. I installed the unit with a bypass line, as suggested by the instructions, but I noticed one of the filter housing o-rings was pinched during manufacturing and had a bad kink in it. I emailed ispring tech service and explained the issue. They replaced the o-rings without issue and sent me three new ones the next week. The bypass line came in real handy in this scenario, as I was able to keep the filter assembly installed in line and just run the house water through the bypass line while I waited for the replacement o-rings. Water pressure drop across the filters is less than .25 psi (I installed pressure gauges before and after the filter). Water flow through the house is great and I’m really happy knowing every single faucet has clean, filtered water now. Definitely a great buy!

If only the maker had cast metal fittings into the plastic housing, instead of relying on molded plastic threads! There is NO METAL in the top housing. The molded plastic threads WILL LEAK without significant know-how. The threads are looser and coarser than 3/4" NPT. When you screw a nipple into them it will shave off plastic and make the housing even leakier, as numerous reviewers experienced. The plastic housing is suspect given all the weight it carries, supporting filters from bottom is prudent. Here is what I did that proved successful... hopefully in the long run. 1. Use brand name 2" brass or stainless tapered pipe nipples. Close (short) nipples will not leave you room to get a wrench on them and keep them from turning and stripping plastic as you make-on the next piece. 2. I started with five windings of grey teflon tape (the thick stuff.) On pressure test it leaked on one end; remade with five fresh windings and a layer of teflon paste pipe dope. Be sure not to get dope into openings where it will eventually wash into your filters. 3. I made up the entire rack pictured on the bench and PRESSURE TESTED with 30# air for 20 minutes, painted all with soapy water repeatedly and watched for bubbles. To my surprise the brass unions were the leakiest and hardest to seal (metal to metal seal, wrenched very tight.) 4. This sucker is HEAVY. About 45 lbs without water. Mounted on 1/2" Strut bolts upo top. Bottom struts support backside and support weight from underneath. To unscrew housings I loosen two outer stut bolts and slide support piece out of the way. 5. Here is the makeup from IN to OUT: a. 1/2" Ball Valve (BV) pressfit. b. 1/2" pressfit F to 3/4" NPT Male adapter c. 3/4" NPT brass union d. 3/4" 3-way BV/drain. Permits draindown and washdown after isolation. (attic stock) e. 3/4" spin-down Filter for initial sediment removal and cleanout f. 3/4" x 2" tapered nipple into unit Filter Units g. 3/4" x 2" tapered nipple leaving unit h. 3/4x 3/4x 1/4 redcing Tee with 0-60 psi pressure meter i. 3/4" NPT brass union j. 1/2" pressfit F to 3/4" NPT Male adapter k. 1/2" Ball Valve (BV) pressfit. Pressure Test kit: 3/4x3/4x1/4 reducing Tee 1/4" stem Pressure Gauge 0-60psi 3/4 x 1/2 reducing bushing, male 1/2" NPT Schraeder Valve Compressor I ran this strictly to the Cold Water side of the kitchen faucet, for drinking and cooking water. Don't the modest waste used in cleaning water. Entire manifold is over 36" long and 24" high. You could anchor with bolts, not screws, to 3/4" plywood backboard as well. I would use anything less sturdy for this weight. Be sure to support and space out bottom as well. There IS a bypass set of valves from the original tap feed, so given an issue we can isolate this system and continue to have unfiltered water at the tap. A whole house inline system will benefit from a second Drain Valve or 3-way on the outfeed side, so you can drain down either side of manifold for maintenance.

I have installed my own water filters in a few houses now and this is one of the best units I have used. Easy to instal, good quality filters and solid mounting frame. I had one small problem with shipping and the vendor quickly replaced the damaged part.

Easy to install and all good quality components. I have several ispring products and would strongly recommend them. One small issue on one of my systems was resolved promptly and Politely by Nick. Happy customer there.

It's a decent filter, but the female threads on the housing are sloppy. The manufacture compensates with oodles and oodles of teflon tape, which still isn't enough. Mine was a warehouse deal and the fitting had actually snapped. Easy to replace. The in and out leaked first time, so more tape applied. And then the last manufacture joint started to leak. Before installing this item, just add more teflon or a washer to each joint.

So I spent about 3 hours plumbing this piece of crap in and after it leaked from the inlet fitting and also the plastic fittings between the filters I had to un install it and it is absolutely no good to me threads are ok but wont stop leaking also doesnt filter worth a damn
