Darker and saltier than proper shiro miso.
It's very dark for shiro miso and not with the same sweetness or lightnes. Disappointed and can't return it.

Product details said region of origin was Asia and that it was a 'Product of Japanese Cuisine'. I did not see anywhere that the true country of origin was China. This information should be readily available to Amazon customers before ordering.
