I’ve had two Skull Shavers and both died on me inexplicably. I took a chance on this Hummingbird and I’m not even mad the Skulls died. This thing blows the Skull away. USBC charging is awesome. I’m no longer looking for a stupid charging cord to charge my skull shaver. The shave is close, pull and pain free and effortless. I use it on my skull and my arms and it works flawlessly. Cleaning is easy with the magnetic detachment of the shave heads. The carrying case is nice for travel as well. But this if you like a smoothly shaved head!

I bought this shaver for myself 9 months ago. I have had multi-head shavers before, and I generally like the ease of use, portability, and convenience. This shaver, however, has let me down. After a short time of daily use, I noticed it pulling hairs more. Like the blades (?) just were not holding an edge. It has gotten to the point now where I don't shave but once a week with this thing because it is painful to use. My face feels raw from the hairs being pulled so much. I have to go over and over and over the same areas just to get a half decent shave. I am seriously frustrated with this machine. If you are considering the purchase of the MK3, don't. Pay a little more for better quality, your face is worth it. I am about to shave again, but with a blade this time. Not only is my face stinging, but most times it itches for hours after. They claim it's easy to clean? Yeah, you can knock the hair out of it, but getting to the cutting heads is next to impossible. I'm done...

I really appreciated the travel case this came with my husband travels for work and his shaver often comes loose in his baggage and deposits all of his little hairs everywhere so this saves all of his clothes from having to be washed every time he goes somewhere. Out of the box I love how everything is packaged, very tidy. The magnetic heads are very easy to work and removing from the body of the shaver in order to clean everything and remove old hairs. The first time it was used, my husband remarked that it gets such a close shave, much more so than the other traditional electric razors, he has used in the past, which were hard to go over the ridges on his scalp. He also enjoyed the multiple shaver heads. If this one ever does die, we will definitely be re-purchasing or replacing the blades when they need to be replaced. I can’t attest to the water resistance because he always shaves his head after showering. I’ll have to update when he does. He goes nowhere without it now. I absolutely love how his bald head feels after a shave with this electric razor definitely worth the investment and I am impressed with this brand. We have since thrown away our old razor and exclusively use this one.

This electric shaver makes shaving one’s head fast and almost effortless. The contoured form of the 6 blades fits the curves of the head really well making it quick work to zip around and trim every hair. I never have to worry about ugly nicks. I use it dry but it can be used wet or even with shave cream. I started the process with a short trim with clippers but after that trimming with this razor alone is a job that only takes me a couple minutes to do. That makes it much easier for me to keep up with daily. With daily use, it didn’t show any sign of losing power or slowing down, even after a couple weeks, so it doesn’t need charging very often at all. It works great!

I have left my original review here and am planning to leave it to give this context. I am now on my second shaver, and it is all because the manufacturer was willing to step up and make things right for me. I was originally very disappointed with the shaver I had purchased because of problems I encountered, including the shaver just dying after a very short time period. I was willing to eat the cost I had paid for the shaver, mostly because it wasn’t really an expensive item. But I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with what I perceived to be a very low quality product. Shortly after I posted that review, I was contacted by the manufacturer who apologized profusely and offered to provide a full refund, but asked if I would be willing to give them one more chance. If I was willing to do that, they would send me a replacement shaver at no cost to me. They didn’t ask me to remove my review or to write a new review, they only asked me to give them a second chance. I received my replacement shaved shortly after agreeing to take another chance. I unboxed the shaver and began using it immediately. Note that my replacement shaver arrived with a full charge. I used the shaver every day and it performed quite well. And the original charge lasted almost a month. The only issue I had was that the cutter head was extremely difficult to clean all the clippings out completely. I even resorted to taking the head to my garage on a regular basis to blow the head clean with my air compressor. Eventually the head wore out and I needed to replace it. With the original shaver I had purchased, I couldn’t find replacement heads offered under the same manufacturer’s name. So I purchased another brand that claimed to be good for any shaver of the style I had. The head fit well, so I anticipated that I would have to take the same course of action when I needed to replace the head on this new shaver. However, I searched Amazon a bit more closely and thoroughly and found a replacement head for my shaver that was specifically labeled as being for use on my shaver. The most impressive thing about the replacement head is that it actually shaves better and cleans easier than the original head that came with the shaver. And I have now had this shaver for quite a while longer than I had the original shaver, and I have only had to recharge the unit one time so far. And the replacement head is showing every likelihood that it will last substantially longer than the head that was originally delivered with the shaver. I have set up my purchase of the replacement heads on a subscription, with a new replacement scheduled for delivery in e months. A couple suggestions for the manufacturer which could easily make me change my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. The first would be to include more thorough and comprehensive use and care instructions, and include a section on the proper method for cleaning the shaver head. I currently clear the clippings out of the head by banging it on my bathroom countertop. Second, provide better brush for cleaning the head than the small and completely inadequate cleaning brush provided with the shaver. The one provides in the purchase package is small, and the bristles on the brush do not work to get inside and clean the head adequately. And the final thing I would suggest is to provide information with the kit on how to place orders for replacement shaver heads. In summary, I no longer feel this purchase was a waste of my money, and I am impressed that the company reached out to offer a solution on how to rectify a bad situation. Original post: It was a nice shaver while it worked. But after a couple months, it failed to fully charge, and wouldn’t turn on even though the display indicated nearly 50% charge remaining. I finally got frustrated and threw it out. I would not recommend this product.

Really loved its modern look and portability. It worked perfectly fine the first couple shaves but then noticed the pitch of the motor changing. The blades would intermittently slow down then stop spinning. This makes me sad. Sad backwards is das and das not good. 🥹 Late Update: 9/2024 -4/2025 😅 I ended up forgetting to update this product. I got a replacement back in September 2024. Six months later and the shaver has been great for far. 😁

I bought this because my previous shaver was a little more expensive on the blades and the old one had broken. This was my first time trying the humming bird and was really exited it came with its own carrier case it worked great it got a nice close shave saved me time that i need. i used it probably 15 times and it started displaying weird readings and not charging. upon further inspection i saw water coming out of the top button on the shaver. I used this in the shower because it was advertised to be used in the shower. However it is not water proof not even water resistant. The shaver was not sealed properly and is now dead with no hope of resurection.
