Although I bought this dashcam in June 2025, the parking mode functionality appears to be faulty. It successfully records an event within the first couple of minutes after the car is shut off, but it fails to activate and capture video if someone approaches the vehicle after that initial period."

This unit was disaster from the start. The unit comes with two prewired fuse connectors to piggy back 2 circuits in your cars fuse box. The first problem is the piggy back fuses are 15amp and non replaceable! Therefore you can only replace the fuse on an existing 15amp with this power takeoff! The fuse piggybacks are micro sized (so no use for cars with different sizes fuses), for some reason the would not fit the micro fuse sockets on my car. To get round this issues I replaced the piggy backs with generic ones, which did fit my car. Having got it installed I found the camera would not power up, further investigation showed that the power module was not actually working! Having modified the power connectors I can't send this unit back, think very carefully about buying this product.
