Stupid Human Tricks
My 11 yr old loves them. He’s a short guy so I’m not quite sure these hit him where they are supposed to thigh wise. Left some very gnarly bruises all over the back of his thighs. He looked like a patient that fell while on blood thinners. We couldn’t believe he was still running around on them after seeing them. But they work as intended, seem solid. Unfortunately we got them right before winter hit and they have been locked away to prevent him from increasing the likelihood of injury more than what it already is.

Holy crap this is fun!
I recently purchased these. I didn't find the learning curve too bad. By my second try I was able to get up starting on the ground rather than an elevated platform, walk around, bounce a little, and jog. These are a tremendous amount of fun and a lot of exercise. Maybe I'm just out of shape or old (just turned 38), but for me I was getting tired after about 10-15 minutes. I felt like I was at the gym for an hour and I didn't just feel it in my legs as you would expect. I felt it in my core, back, hips, legs, etc. It was crazy! Now for a review of the product itself. Overall it appears to be well made and sturdy. Definitely make sure you get one for your weight, as I could see it being tough to flex if you're too light. The reason for only four stars: The straps are not ideal as was mentioned before. They are not the easiest to get tight and the buckle by the knee can dig into your leg. As mentioned in another review, I may consider replacing the buckles on the feet with snowboard binding straps. I could see that working well. Also, the bar across the front of the upper shin, just below the knee is not the most comfortable. I would recommend getting some knee pads to wear. I got some off of amazon that just fit between my legs and the bars. They may be a little thick and I might downsize but for now they work well enough. Most if not all of these complaints appear to have been fixed in the newest 2018 version (I ordered these before I saw it). The straps are different and the knee bar is gone. Other than those two issues, I'm quite happy with my purchase and I plan to spend a lot of time goofing around on them this summer!

Know how to fall!
I bought theses about 2 years ago and had so much fun! Sadly good things never last. the platform that my right foot sat on snapped in half! With my balance thrown off I fell at a full sprint! but I'm okay. As scary as it might seem one thing I highly recommend is falling down on purpose. You DO NOT want to fall down backwards. The way the stilts are shaped, if you fall down backwards you will not land on your butt. It sends you down with more force than you anticipate and flattens you out making far more likely to hit your head. Falling down forward is much easier to catch yourself, and the padding around your leg makes it very unlikely you will hurt your knees. When I first got the stilts I practiced falling down in soft grass all the time, so when the stilt broke and I fell down for real for the first time, I was not hurt. I'm going to fix my stilts and continue to have a good summer work out and lots of fun while I do so. :)

Straps extremely poorly made
The stilts quality is good but the straps are very bad. They wouldn’t close or secure the strap placement meaning I fell right out of the closure (and almost had a nasty fall because of that). If you have the energy to complete redo the straps, would recommend. Otherwise this product is a waste of time.

5 out or 5 for fun!
loved the boots. they fit comfortably around my shoes. it didnt matter if i was waering tennis shoes or hiking boots. only issue i had with them was the ankle strap tended ti dig in, but put on high top shoes or boots and your just fine. very easy to learn. i was running within my first few hours. still iffy on jumps and im WAY to scared to do anything like flips or anything, but im sure i will in time. 5 stars all the way

Saves a custom build... barely. But lots of fun.
The instruction manual that comes with these tells you not to tinker with any parts outside of adjustment since they are made from high quality materials. Malarkey that is. The original straps and even more so buckles (sinches rather) are cheap. Real cheap. One of the sinches broke the first time I tried to put it on. I’ve now replaced the all the straps and added actual buckles so that they hold more tightly, and don’t take 7 years to take on and off. After all that complaining, if you aren’t willing to tinker with these, don’t buy them. But if you are, dang what fun these things are. They require a lot of practice, are REALLY tiring, and make traversing hills really tricky (change in grade is the hardest thing to overcome when starting), but I think when modified and taken slow, these are some of the most fun you can have with an hour on a sunny day. Especially wear knee pads and gloves. You won’t really get why until you fall. I’ve not fallen backwards yet, but I’m sure elbow pads and a helmet is best for that front.

The coolest thing I've ever owned
So they took exactly one week to get here wich was great the seller is very prompt in answering any questions unfortunately I had to have my appendix removed the day they came in but the next day after surgery I was able to try them in my house than across the street where they had a long building for me to walk along.ive had no trouble with the straps I wear 2 pair of knee supports a pair of pants and knee pads on the outside of my pants if you strap on nice and snug after about 5 minutes they become an extension of your own body they were way easier to get used to than I expected from reading all the reviews.i think most people trouble is that they don't take the time to learn to put them on well.also I didn't find them exhausting to where even with a 10 hr old surgery !!I will be buying the new models next week out of sheer curiosity I recommend 100% the most fun in years they look cool as all hell and everybody wants to talk to you about them hell you even hold up traffic sometimes lol buy them trust me!! You will not regret it.

durable and quality with a few cheap overlooks and potential problems
so right off the bat these things are quality. extremely durable and high grade. sadly there are a few issues such as the protective rubber on the spring easily scraping off. if someone is looking to buy these, i highly recommend them. asside from cheap straps and cheap pads, they're extremely fun. i could easily run around all day in them. but stamina is very important. these things are no joke if you haven't been active in the past. they're dangerous to your knees as you twist in turn to counter balance and already i can feel mine deteriorate after day one. the knee cushion as well as the straps behind it dig into my skin leaving a slight rash. the time limit is how much pain I'm willing to take. my advice? wear thick padding to prevent rashes like pants or even rags. if you're tall or have long legs, first thing you wanna do is adjust the knee cushion to right bellow your knee (more of a shin guard). to do that you need to loosen the bolts around the bars holding it up. (good luck finding a video of that process. everything is on you when it comes to repair and maintenance). there is a booklet of information including disassembly but again videos are scarce. over all these things are a blast and definitely worth the investment. easy to customize and maintain as long as you have the ability to read lego books
