Targets the Muscles Under Stress
This little device makes a big impact on stressed out muscles. It attaches to the skin with two sticky pads, almost like a defibrillator. The hardest part of this machine is keeping those pads clean so they can be used over and over again. Once attached, there are a lot of different modes specifically designed for different muscle groups. The booklet, although tiny, is a very helpful reference of what number to turn the machine to instead of scrolling through all 28 options on the machine. The modes for back relief, for example are numbers 3, 13 and 23. It would be nice if they were all sequential. That aside, each has a different pulsing feel, so if one option doesn't work, or feel good, there are other options to try. Start on a low setting. It doesn't feel like much right away, but the relief comes after the treatment. We started at too high of a setting right away and ended up causing some spasm in the muscles. Once we read the booklet and figured out the machine, it actually works pretty well.

Interactive body graphics is helpful!
This is not a true dual channel, you can use it on different body parts but you cannot use two different modes at the same time. I don't think any TENS unit within this price range has this capability. Device has 3 modes: TENS, EMS, and RELAX. Similar to other modern TENS units, this device identifies each mode type. My old device doesn't label the different modes. Device also has an interactive body part interface where you can select a different body part to stimulate. I haven't noticed a difference, but I think it's fun and helpful. The device is small, lightweight, and the design reminds of 1st gen iPod. TENS unit connects via button snap connection and not prong insertions. This is important because the gel pad will eventually lose its adhesiveness and you'll need replacements. I don't feel a noticeable difference between button snap or prong insertions. Included pads are in various sizes which is nice for areas that need bigger or smaller pads. My other unit only came with square pads that were all the same size and the edges would lift away on certain areas. Battery life appears decent, box says it has a 20-hour usage. I've used it a few times for 1 hr each session (on various parts) and battery gauge shows 75%. Unit charges on USB-C so you don't have to buy separate batteries. Comes with a very short USB-C cable, but no plug. Bonus items: 1) bag for portability, and/or storage - it holds everything but barely (a little too small), the seams look strained; has a simple stitch but a cover stitch would've been better - fabric is very, very soft 2) pad holder is genius because it's easy to lose the flimsy plastic backing

Excellent, boyfriend seems to like it
My boyfriend was recently diagnosed with diabetes and although he's treating himself properly with medication, he has started experiencing some neuropathy of the feet. One thing that diabetic groups have recommended is trying out a tens unit on the lowest setting, to see if that would help. We've also started walking more recently so afterwards he'll experience some minor back and shoulder pain because he's not used to walking longer distances. Something like this seemed like a no brainer, but of course I wanted him to have his own for sanitary purposes since he'd be using it on his feet. Right out of the box, this is a nice unit. It has everything you need, of course, and has a variety of intensity settings and modes. My boyfriend was a bit reluctant since he focused on the electric part of everything, but quickly found that once he tried it, it felt pretty good. Definitely better than the alternative. I went through everything with him, as I've become a bit of a old hand at these units now, but honestly this was fairly easy enough to set up and figure out. This is one of the nicer units I've gotten through Vine and one that I definitely think is going to be a mainstay with my boyfriend, as he gets used to using this in his daily life.

Not impressed, sorry
I have used tens units for the better part of 10 years as an alternative to medication. I had one that I used off an on for several years but it stopped working and I needed a new one. When this tens unit came across my Amazon Vine feed, I decided to order it. I use it while sitting at my desk for work. My neck and shoulder start to throb and get sore and I use the tens unit to give me pain relief. I'm sorry to say, I am not impressed with this tens unit. I do NOT like the pulsating function. I prefer the mild constant mode which this unit does not have. I put it in and turned it on going slowly so I don't make the strength too strong. When it first starts, it's a mild feeling. I only had it at a strength of 4. Well, then the pulsating kicked in and I almost fell off my chair. The power it had on a 4 was so intense, it made my shoulder jump up and I have no idea how I didn't hit my head with my shoulder. Not funny. I tried other settings to see if there was a setting I would prefer that didn't have the pulsating effect and I found none I liked. Needless to say, I probably won't be using this much, if at all. Another thing that turned me off to this unit are the pads. My old unit had leads that plugged into the pads. I had really great pads that I could use over and over again. The pads that came with this unit aren't holding well. I used it once and already the pad is no longer sticking. And yes, I do know how to use the pads. I'm just not happy with this tens unit. I'll give it another try but I think my opinion will remain the same. Sorry.
