Detour Stainless Steel Collapsible Pot

Love love love this pot! I wish I had bought it years ago. I use it for lots of different things while camping and after meals it makes a great sink for washing dishes. I love that it collapses with just a little pressure, and stores small so I don't need a lot of space to bring it along. We don't go backpacking so the weight isn't an issue for me, but the height when collapsed is wonderfully short.

A sweet piece of gear that's perhaps a bit pricey depending on how much you'll use it

I love this pot. The 3 liter size is perfect for anything I might cook while camping. It collapses to fit in my cabinet inside my cast iron fryer, saving valuable real estate. It boils water relatively quickly, and the lid keeps all condensation inside. Clamps provided keep the lid secured in place while stored, so nothing is clattering around while we're bouncing down the road in the RV. The clamps also attach to the sides of the pot to serve as handles. It cleans up extremely well. Construction is excellent, I think this pot will hold up for many years.

I assumed the locking tabs folded outwards and was about to dispose of it when I could not open the tabs. So for clarity - push in the little tab and lift up on the locking tab. Nice pot, well made.

The pot melted after 2 uses on my Camp Chef stove.

It's clever, it's sexy. I get compliments on it all the time from other people visiting the base camp. It's become our primary stockpot for things like boiling noodles and potatoes. my one worry is the silicone. I wish it was a little heavier duty. I am worried that if I nick it with a knife or edge of a utensil that it will eventually cause the pan to break down. If that happens I will return to this review with an update. It does collapse into an impressively small foot print, given the amount of volume provided (5L)

I cannot say enough good about this! We go camping a lot. Aside from little camping trips we go on an annual two week camping trips to national parks. We got this to replace our old pot. This works perfectly and cooks just as well as our nice pots at home, but collapses down small for packing in the car. I wish I would have pulled the trigger on this earlier. If you buy this, make sure to get the GLAD sieve to strain water off pasta. Makes a great combo.

Collapses nice and flat

The pot is not 3 liters, it’s only 2 liters. I measured precisely with a cup and it’s definitely 2 liters. In the older version of the product, the measures were written in the internal face of the pot (see attached). Now, Sea to summit removed those measures and only put the mention MAX FILL LINE (see photo attached). That way, it’s more difficult for the consumer to find that in fact, the pot is 2 liters, not 3 liters. My sister has the old version of this product and it was really 3 liters. So I sent back the product. Not really honest behavior from the company as they have expensive products.

Sehr gute Verarbeitung und funktioniert perfekt auf Induktionsplatten. Durch die Faltfunktion wenig Platzbedarf. Die Produktqualität ist sehr gut. Würden wir jederzeit wieder kaufen und weiterempfehlen.
