I ordered this to help combat fine lines and discoloration. I have only used this a handful of times as I am working up to nightly use. I haven’t used a strong retinoid in a while so I have to slowly increase my usage. OTC anti-aging treatments do not have this level of retinoids. I used to use my daughter’s Rx adapalene , she was fighting acne. I would steal a dap here and there to fight wrinkles. Now that it is OTC I’d rather use this than throw money away on products that barely contain any retinol. I can verify it must be strong because after using it every other night my face was showing some slight redness, irritation and starting to flake after my 3rd use. This is not a problem as I expected as much. I simply took a few nights off and increased my moisturizer. Now I sandwich the adapalene between moisturizers ( moisturizer/ adapalene/ more moisturizer). Be careful around eyelids, underneath your nose and around your mouth as these are the areas that tend to react quickly and strongly. Also don’t forget to protect your skin from the sun when using this product, best to use at night and a moisturizer with SPF during the day! I am giving this 5 stars as it shows to be strong and the price for the quantity is fantastic.

I often get breakouts due to stress and because I have very sensitive skin. I bought this as an alternative to Differin, and it works just as well if not better. It is gentle on the skin and I have never felt stinging or any sense of pain when using this product. I also noticed my face does not peel as it did with Differin, yet the results are similar in reducing breakouts/irritation. This is a positive result as it can feel a bit embarrassing to walk around with peeling skin haha. It is smooth to apply, almost like a lotion/neosporin consistency; for its size and price I am satisfied, it is certainly cheaper but just as effective as the name brand.

Haven't used any other brand but have used tretinoin 0.1%, strong retinols, ahas and peels in past. Started at 28, now re-starting anti-aging skincare routine at 54 years old after a multi year illness hiatus. I get a pimple here and there but have never had acne. I've added this to my routine with zero negative side effects. I use many actives, including high strength vit c and niacinamide. My skin went into shock with menopause and sudden sun exposure, causing melasma and a dullness like I didn't know possible. I noticed a big improvement in texture and brightness in less than a cpl weeks. My skin started looking better almost immediately and it now holds moisture and retains glow with products. Will go back to tretinoin or taz once I finish this large tube to see if there is any difference. Use sunscreen and support your skin barrier while using or else don't bother!

I have a lot of issues with oily skin, specifically in my t-zone and hormonal acne. Unfortunately, this did not help much with the acne on my face, even after months of regular usage. It also dried my skin out a lot and made some of my oily skin issues a bit worse. That said, I also get body acne on occasion, and I've switched from using adaplene on my face to using it on my upper arms, shoulders, areas of my chest, and yes...even my buttocks. It works for me in those areas and break outs have been minimal and heal quick since using this.

Works well, non irritating, doesn't stain, and good for sensitive skin. Very effective acne treatment. Not sticky. Small bottle but surp lasts a long time. Can be a bit drying if used with other products. Great for spot treatment.

Works great!! I didn't think I would need acne medication in my mid-forties but here we are! I started getting breakouts again so I started this product and it has made my skin very soft, controlled the breakouts and helped healing any marks left behind from previous acne. It also helped control the oil. Make sure you use a moisturizer for the dryness. The tube is a little small but it's not that small. I'm not sure what people are complaining about. You don't need to use very much of this product! A very thin layer is all that you need. This tube has lasted me over 2 months and I use it everyday. I think people are using too much product. You really do not need more than a small drop! It works great and it saves a little bit of money off of the differin gel.

This product immediately started helping with my acne. It’s very important that you use only a small amount of it, as it can cause dryness.
