10 things I like about the PARD Night Stalker 4k
After trying out digital NV scopes from a couple of other top brands alongside the PARD, it was clear to me that the PARD was just better. This is true for the PARD DS35, which I have been using for a while, and the new Night Stalker 4k LRF (which is an upgrade to the DS35 LRF.) Here’s what I love about the Night Stalker 4k: 1. Its clear image. The image quality is not fuzzy at the edges or blotchy (slow refreshing) like a couple of the others I tried. 2. Getting a clear sight picture is almost instantaneous. The circular display just matches up to your eye effortlessly. This is important when you transition from a monocular or just your eyes. If it takes a little time to get a clear sight picture and the hog or coyote is moving, you may lose it. 3. The controls on the PARD are more natural. For example, to zoom the PARD there is a large easy-to-find and operate knob on the top. This is way better than having a small awkwardly placed spinning wheel like one of the competitors has. When hunting at night when you can’t see things, this is a must. I initially thought a scope with a smaller form factor would be better, but for the easier-to-use controls I prefer the 4k’s traditional scope configuration. 4. The IR illuminator works exceptionally well. It is good enough out to 200 yards that you don’t need a thermal monocular for spotting. That range could be farther but I don’t want to say that because I haven’t tried it yet. The specs on it say the IR will illuminate out to 350m. I have no reason to doubt it because it is so bright out to the 200 yard treeline where I have used it. 5. The “focus-free” cap is really nice for using the scope in daylight. Instead of opening the cap like you do for nighttime use, you just leave it closed and open the small hole in the cap. It’s a simple solution and works really well. 6. The long eye relief is a safety benefit. I don’t really want to have my scope bite me. 7. Having the LRF built in is such a help. It makes accurate shooting less work and more enjoyable. 8. The use of changeable rechargeable batteries means I don’t have to worry about the battery running out during a hunt. It also eliminates the need to send the scope to the factory for battery replacements in the future. 9. It comes with a set of nice quality rings. They fit perfectly on my AR10. 10. Finally, the build quality is really good. You will notice this when you unbox it but be convinced of it when you look through it. (The plastic lens cover is the only thing I think could be a problem in the future, but it would be a cheap and easy fix if I have a problem.) I'm super impressed with the scope so far.

Great features, quality and value
I had the opportunity to experiment with a few different PARD night vision scopes owned by a friend before I purchased the Nightstalker 4K. Across the board, I was impressed by the quality construction. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Nightstalker 4K. To start, the sight picture and eye relief are excellent allowing for quick target acquisition. The focusing controls are well placed and easy to operate while on scope. The image through the scope is crystal clear and crisp. While this is an incredibly sophisticated piece of technology, it is simple and intuitive to use. The menu is simple and elegant. If I had one request it would be better tactile feel of the ancillary control buttons (wifi, pip, range finder). It would be nice to know I was in the right spot with a "no look" finger press. Over time, I will memorize the location of each, so this is a very minor issue especially when you consider all the features, quality and price. If you are in the market for a night vision scope, I would definitely recommend the PARD Nightstalker 4K.

Scope wouldn't hold zero
My first impression was the night stalker 4k was build well. However after mounting on AR15 and going out zeroing, I found it would not hold zero. Not even close! Maybe I got a faulty one but consulted with someone with many years experience and his assumption was the same. Defective product
