Improves shine, texture & covers grays
This is a color depositing conditioner, not a dye, which is exactly what I wanted. It leaves hair shiny & soft & seems to hide/reverse damage. My only criticism is that the color i ordered was "Cool Brown" and it's not a cool tone at all. It's warm. Obvious reddish highlights in it. The way I get around this is that I don't leave it on very long. I've read other reviews saying that it does not conceal Grays but that has not been my experience. My gray roots are covered pretty well with this product as long as I use it regularly. And again, don't leave it on too long because I don't want my hair to look reddish brown. I hope the company comes out with an actual cool brown color at some point. Not all of us can handle the red tones in our hair especially when we have very fair or pinkish skin tones.

didn’t work for my hair
I know this brand works because when i was blonde i used a ginger color conditioner and it was perfect. But trying to use this specific color on my auburn hair just did not work!

I'm someone who stopped dying my hair 4 years ago, I haven't used a single dye, but I do notice my hair looking a bit dull and sunbleached after the summer. This was such a nice light refresher to my natural color, application is a bit messy but doesn't seem to actually dye the skin if left on an area for the recommended time. I use it even as a refresher just on my ends when they are looking a bit dried out and dull. Leave hair soft, well definitely buy again. This is not a dye that will last long or cover grays, it's effective and nice as a overall little refresher to your natural color!

I love this color gloss! It’s such a great way to refresh dull hair without any damage. You just apply it, leave it in, and shampoo it out — super easy and the results are noticeable. Not sure why there are complaints about it; I’ve personally never had any issues. Just a heads-up though: it can stain your sink or tub, so be careful during application and rinse. Overall, it gives my hair a healthy, vibrant boost, and I’ll definitely keep using it!

I bought this to try as a cheaper alternative to the Wella Color Fresh Mask in Cool Espresso. For context my hair is a level 5 brown and has some brassiness to it (which will need blue and green to tone out). This mask is a purple-brown so while the blue in the purple canceled out my orange tones, I’m still left with red tones and did not result in a cool brown. This could work if your brown hair is already ashy or you prefer more of a warm tone but won’t tone out brown hair with red tones.

Given my current attempt to out my natural hair colour, I wish I had discovered these treatments sooner. Accumulative use of semi/demi hair dyes left too much unwanted tones that will never wash out: have switched to this product as I wait out the next two years of new growth to help ease the transition. I have tried different hues in the cool/black/brown range (trying to avoid red). My hair colour is a medium brown which I am trying to make as ashy as possible. Even though my hair is a medium brown, I sometimes use Rich Black to achieve this ashy effect, adding a wee bit of the Cool Blonde as it is lilac hued. The Caramel Brown is actually very reddish-orange. I found the Cool Brown surprisingly warm even though the product itself has no hint of red in it (I mix it with the Rich Black because of this). It is probably due to some kind of colour theory effect due to my old dyed hair, and not due to the product itself. My hair feels so silky and detangled when I apply it, which I do after shampooing, then blotting my wet hair with a dry cloth, then generously work through the product, wrap hair in a plastic cap for 5-10 minutes, then rinsing with tepid water. The effects last about one to three shampoos. I am very happy with the results for my purposes, as it casts the tone I need, and because I can "customize" the shade I want by combining hues.

So I'm not sure if my hair really looked all that more lush and magnificent colour-wise, but I like how my hair feels after using this product. It comes in a variety of natural hair colours, which I appreciate, you can leave it on for as long as you like, and your hair feels so soft afterwards that I love it.
