Great..gives good relief

My family loves UTK's far infrared heating pads, as evidenced by the fact that we have bought three in the past few years. Our various issues of scoliosis, ibs, neck and upper back pain as well as lower back pain, have been helped so much by these wonderful heating pads. My chemically sensitive family also appreciates that, unlike many products of this kind, the pads have no odor and can be used right away, no airing out time needed. We are especially grateful for UTK's excellent customer service. Our most recent purchase had an issue that I had to contact them about. They were so gracious in our communications and quickly sent us a replacement. These infrared heating pads have made a great difference in our health and our ability to function without having to use a lot of pain medication. We are definitely happy customers!

This is the third mat we have had from this company and they are all still working fine and the oldest is at least 8 years old and used often. These mats work well, my only wish is that they gave an actual minute countdown in the timer.

I reached out to [email protected] to share my frustration with their heat pad. The black vinyl-like material all around the pad is referred to as "PU," material and started to bubble-up after ONE year of use, then only got worse & worse. Eventually, it started to peel & flake off everywhere. It becomes unusable. I can logically guess the heat broke down the adhesive being used. I was asked to provide images, I did. I was asked to provide proof of purchase, I did. After a lengthy back & forth with a "Vivian," I was told I was over the warranty period. The cost was $109. How long should we expect the product to last? 1yr, 2yr, 3yr??? I felt that I should have communicated the PU material "break-down" sooner, but did know it would get worse & fall apart. The customer service for this was terrible. I suggested I could BUY a more expensive model, but ONLY if they could give me some guarantee the PU material would last longer or their warranty covered it. They suggested a cover & buying a new one, rather than fixing the poor quality. This pad is designed with a material that does not last. These are NOT cheap pads & should have a longer life-span in my opinion. Furthermore, there should be a better warranty, especially for customers that provide evidence of poor quality. There are other sellers/manufacture that offer a longer warranty. I will buy from them & recommend you do the same. AFTER this was posted, I was offered 10% off another pad IF I removed this honest review was removed. I declined.

This heating provides wonderful benefits with its far inferred deep heat. I used it often. However, at the 3 years of use point, the material along the edges is flaking off and the stitching is coming loose. I have discounted use due to fear of shock hazard. For this reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5,,

I have to have heating pads on a daily basis because I suffer from excruciating pain. That pain is triggered by cold. I've purchased so many "cheap" ($50-$60) heating pads (specifically Sunbeam) and they always die and stop working. I decided that I was going to stop throwing away my money and invest 1 time (vs 20) in a really nice heating pad. This heating pad is definitely on the expensive side, but it's so incredibly worth it. Even my husband who is the biggest cheapskate, said that this pad is totally worth it for how much it helps me deal with my pain. It takes a few minutes to warm up, but it stays warm for sooooo long. You get to set the timer and the heat. I love the heat level too because it's an actual temperature number vs low, medium, high. You definitely are paying for the quality, and quality you will get. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a heating pad often. I'd tell you to bite the bullet, and get it. You won't regret it!
