I bought the Kalita Wave 185 filters looking for a better alternative to the Fellow Stagg [X] filters—and I’m thrilled with the switch. These filters fit the Stagg [X] dripper perfectly, no awkward overhang or folding required. Absolutely perfect and well priced for a Kalita Wave 185 size filter.

I know taste. Don't care about the science of coffee. That said, these filters work far better and somehow make better coffee than any other filters I've used. I throw these in my Oxo 8-Cup, and proceed to turbo charge my day. These filters are thin but super strong. Never had an issue after using hundreds of these.

Echo everything good previously said about these filters. Strong, function very well, no leaks or tears, drain smoothly. I will buy again.

These filters fit several third party coffee pour over sets designed for 185 filters. While others make 185 filters, these are the originals. The paper seems pretty thick, but water flows through them just fine. I grind coffee to a size so that my pour over timing is similar to a V60 routine.

There appears to be 2 versions of this product being sold - the original being the “blue text” version, and the second being the one I received - the “green text” version. There’s a few threads on reddit about what the differences could be, but my guess is the green text indicates “FSC Certified” as shown in the photo. I just bought a kalita wave and unfortunately this is my first time using kalita 185 filters so I cannot comment on flow rate, but so far they seem to perform well considering I only have an Ethiopian light roast which makes for a slower drawdown in general. Cafec makes several different filter papers, including a “FSC Certified” one, which have different characteristics and flow rates, but sadly they don’t make wave style filters. Rating 4/5 for the discrepancy; Amazon needs to make a separate listing for the original blue and the new green text. Or vendors should verify which they import or sell. These should do the job, time will tell once I can dial them in though. I’ll likely go elsewhere to buy coffee products especially if they’re imported.

Bought as a gift to go with the kalita pour over thing. Works well, and is the right size to fit!

Excellent and highly recommended

Got them because I read you can use them in the Espro Bloom. You can *kinda* use them... They are much shorter than the espro originals so if you're not super on the ball, you'll end up with the filter crumpled at the bottom of the basket and you pouring water around it. Now, if you learn the trick of pouring reeeeally slowly to keep the filter sort of suspended throughout the whole process and without collapsing, and you really can't find the espro originals anymore, you can make it work. But if you're lucky enough and still able to score some original filters for your Bloom, go with the originals! Much much less headache. Note: all the above is if you, like me, are getting these for your Bloom. As filters in general, they are good quality and work great, hence the 5 stars.

what else to say... they are great and work well.

I'm quite sensitive to smell and usually avoid white paper filter as some other brand I tried left a hint of bleach in contact with hot water. But this one is almost no noticeable after few ml of hot water rinse. Will definitely buy it again.
