I have been using this on some very small parts of a major control system for my railway, soldering resistors on an LED. Space is critical, and with multiple leads and configurations, this made soldering a snap. I use it by gripping the tube with my hand with the thumb on the plunger. The flux is stiff enough that i can control exactly what I want, and where I want it. I usually end up with a small blob of about 1 mm diameter, which is just right for the solder to flow. No more old soldering paste, no more runny flux liquid. This does the trick

Excellent product

Both the desoldering wick and flux paste worked great for electronics repair. The wick absorbed solder cleanly, and the flux made joints flow smoothly. Cleanup was easy—everything wiped away nicely with a bit of rubbing alcohol. Solid, reliable tools for the job. The fine tip applicator is a nice touch!
