Re Iceco JP40 Pro: I was new to the whole electric travel cooler game having relied on ice with repetative draining, cleaning and refilling chore. After some research it looked like this was gonna be the most bang for buck for our needs so I pulled the trigger. It has been a workhorse! We ended up using it year around so when not traveling it is keeping beverages ice cold. The compressor is quiet and has worked flawlessly. When traveling we use an EcoFlow River 2 which has worked in combination perfectly. I thought there was a bug in the control board or something had gone wrong because it seemed to jump 2 degrees at a time when trying to set the temperature, but sometimes just one degree, and the temperature offset wasn’t working. Got in touch with support and we went through the evaluation and they were kind enough to send me a new control board free of charge (full disclosure: I used to be an EE so that did not worry me). The swap out process was fairly straight forward with the usual minor glitches like the control board cover was hard to pop off. It restarted in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit and I just left it and everything was great, even the temp offset worked correctly! But, just be aware, that when I switched to Fahrenheit all the same glitches were back. OMG, there appears to be a baked in bug and the circuit board did not need to be swapped. The Iceco JO40 Pro has been super reliable, is solidly built, runs very quiet, cools extremely well and when coupled with the EcoFlow River 2 has been a dream on driving trips. Despite the quirk about Celsius vs Fahrenheit I can highly recommend this cooler: 4.9/5 stars (the .1 loss is because of the Fahrenheit setting issue).

This is my first fridge and I choose right, it is a great fridge!, it consumes around 6amps when running and less than 1amp when temperature is at the set level, it can be a fridge or it can froze the food if needed. I have used it 3 times and I have connected it to the battery of my car during the night and it hasn't dry my battery, regarding the ergonomics it is very handy with the wheels so you can roll with it instead of carry it(it can be very heavy when it is full of food or beverages), and my only comment would be that the lid handles are kind of small but other than that it was a great purchase I'm very pleased with it. One thing to mention is that I had an issue with one of the legs(I do not know if it came like that or something happened) and their customer service is great, they was trying figure out how to help me to fix it but they realize that it was better to replace the fridge so they send me a replacement and I sent mine back using the package of the new one, it is great to see a company backing up their products.

Cooler is very efficient and very high quality. Even when plugged into the 12v outlet on my truck which does not stay on while ignition is off, everything will stay cool and/or frozen overnight. Holds set temperature very well, much better than the fridge we have in our RV. Love this cooler and well worth the price if you are looking for a quality product. Customer service was very helpful and responsive when I needed help with questions. Would buy again.

I have had this unit for over 2 years, used it for 6 vacation trips so far. Every vacation it has run 24hrs a day for days. Even during high 90s heat inside our closed car in the sun it had maintenance temp. We do set it a little lower than we want as the temp swings a little bit in the brutal heat. We bring it into the hotel overnight and plug it in. We runs it off of a GRECELL 999Wh Solar Generator 1000W that charges from our car while driving. It keeps things very cold and runs quietly.

This unit is amazing! I did a 48 hour test with it full of both food a beverage bottles. I set the temperature to 37 which is lower than I'm actually going to use it to get worse case results running on my EcoFlow Delta 2 which I modified by adding an Anderson connector to & cut off the car connector in the IceCo & replaced it with an Anderson connector as well. Car connectors burn out, get disconnected on bumpy roads, etc. After 48 hours I only lost 22% of my charge with NO charging input at all which means I could go six days keeping the IceCo at 37 degrees without having to charge at all. I have an EcoFlow 100W solar panel on my roof & a portable 200W solar panel if needed plus if we are driving the EcoFlow will be charged via the car. This is an American made product & the quality is great. It has wheels, good handles, & the lid can open from either end or come off completely. Really good engineering.

Best I can say is good. Failed within a year. I’m done jumping through hoops. Iceco clearly is trying but does not want to honor their warranty. I purchased a unit and it failed within a year, before it failed it was great, best appliance I owned. I bought iceco because I thought I could trust the brand and they offered a warranty. Now that my unit has failed, Iceco wants me to troubleshoot, inspect, and make repairs to the failed JP40, bad warranty process, I’m not an appliance repair technician. Also very slow with the replacement parts, shipping from China. Now I’ve been told that if I want a replacement JPL40 I need I’ll have to leave a “good” review on Amazon. Everyday that passes I feel less “good” things about this situation. I just a portal refrigerator that I can travel with that is reliable. We will see how unit 2 works. Hopefully much longer than the first.

This DC powered fridge has saved me up to $50 per day on a trip. I don’t buy rest stop or gas station snacks at top dollar anymore. I make or buy my snacks in bulk ahead of time. I get water, tea, and soda ahead of time as well. This leaves no reason to buy anything in the store other than maybe a cup of ice. The product works great, cools down fast, and the door is easy to operate. I would recommend
