Reliable, easy to use, must have monopod!
This monopod is amazing and checks all the boxes! Versatility, quick adjust, and sturdy function! The release is very easy, one handed use! I purchased a manfrotto head to go on top. Works great. The base is really nice having a rotating head that gives you a wide range of positions. I purchased the Sirui SVM-145 57”. I am 5’3”. I really like the height I can get out of it and the sturdiness I get. I get out on rocks and in water areas and this gives me a lot of support in odd spaces. I also like the fact that I can purchase a smaller tube height if I desire. I take pictures of dogs and animals. Fast moving products are essential. The adjustability is a must have. It’s a good quality built product that can be relied on. I especially like the fact that I can use it as a hiking stick in rocky areas. This monopod is a great value for the money.

Game changer for on the go photography & solid from top to bottom
Best monopod I've ever owned. Modularity is a big plus. So easy to use and adjust. This monopod with attached tripod foot is so steady that I am able to take static shots at 1/125 with my Sony 200-600 with no motion blur (assuming of course very low or no wind). Attaching camera and telephoto lens to tabletop tripod allows for excellent low level ground shots. I have not found any flaws yet in this Surui monopod.

Failed Product. Does not honor Warranty . At this point i do not recommend.
I purchased SVM-165 Rapid Monopod a few months ago from Amazon. The extension lock is failing. When partially extended, no matter how tightly I turn the locking collar, the monopod continues to slide down with a little pressure. I only used a few times. . I am trying to replace or repair. Product has a six year warranty . Surui customer service directs me to [email protected]. Multiple emails have gone unanswered. At this point i do not recommend this product. I will keep you informed.

It's more steadier than I thought it would be for a monopod. The thing is built like a truck.

Monopod
Quick, Easy and solid adjustability. I really like this monopod, it is very functional while still taking up little room and being quite light. Overall this is one of the better value monopods you can that includes a foot. Makes it easy to move the camera around to reset for the perfect photo.

Monopod great but base sucks!
Everything solid. I especially like the quick release feature which works well. The modularity is a plus. The issue is the base. Legs are not wide or strong enough, so there is always a little wobble. Not an issue while shooting but I would definitely not walk away and trust this would not tip over. So I will use the base for table top use and replace it with something more stable. The monopod is 5 star , but the 3 star includes the base UPDATE After further research, I've concluded that some wobble is inherent in ALL monopods with legs attached. For 100% stability a tripod is needed. A monopod offers greater convenience and portability but with a little less stability. The application will determine which to use

C’est juste le meilleur monopole que j’ai pu voir jusqu’à présent. Super facile à utiliser super rapide à déployer très polyvalent. C’est clairement l’objet à avoir sur tous les Tournage .

I purchased this to extend the height of my Sirui SVM-145 Monopod. However, when I updated to the Sirui SVM-LF Monopod foot system I had a spare foot and this works perfectly with it, thus giving me a spare mid height monopod that can be used in hides and when photographing shorebirds low down. What’s more I can still use it to extend my SVM-145P Monopod.

Easily one of my favorite purchases in a long time. I’ve been using this monopod for video production work, and it’s been fantastic across the board. The build quality is absolutely top-tier—everything feels solid, durable, and premium, from the locking mechanisms to the materials used. It honestly feels like a high-end piece of gear at a surprisingly reasonable price point. The quick release system for adjusting height is smooth and fast, making on-the-fly changes super easy when you’re in the middle of a shoot. It’s incredibly versatile and has quickly become a go-to tool in my kit. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the angle adjustment on the foot could be improved. Some other models let you adjust the angle with a foot click and then auto-center, while this one requires manual turning and tightening. It’s a small thing, but worth mentioning if quick repositioning is important to your workflow. That said, for the price and the performance, this monopod is a total win. Highly recommend it to anyone doing video work or needing a reliable, pro-level support system on the go.
