Lockharts ALWAYS brings the heat. This is my favorite product below the matte clay. This has a great texture, super great smell, and it has the right amount of hold. It also washes out really easily. You can throw this in wet or dry and get great results. These folks make the best hair products IMO. And as a Michigander, it feels greay supporting a local business. You won't find a better value for the money.

Gives great volume and hold that can look more natural without the matte finish and lack of shine. Washes out easily. A little goes a long way. One container lasts me months, though I don’t use it every day. I’ve bought this multiple times now and have one for each bathroom and one for my car.

This has been my new go-to hair styling product for the last year now. I have thin hair and prefer a natural feel—this gives great hold without being sticky or heavy. A little goes a long way, and it styles easily without pulling. Way better value than overpriced options like Bumble & Bumble’s Sumoclay.

This hair product was almost exactly what we were looking for! It doesn't make your hair greasy or crunchy. And it has great hold! Unfortunately, we can't use it because it smells so strong of cologne and I didn't realize that when I bought it. It's way too strong for someone allergic to strong scents/perfumes.

High yet textured hold. Very natural finish. Lasts the whole day. Scent is ok but also very subtle (positive in my book). Leaves very little residue even when just using water to wash out, zero residue if shampoo is used.

Barber turned me onto this product a few years ago and have been buying religiously since, but this last time it seems like it's changed. Still has its mild scent and does wash out quite well. Texture of the product in hair is nice and has a strong hold (almost like a combination between clay & pomade) without leaving a wet or greasy look. Unfortunately, this last round of product doesn't have quite the same consistency as what I have had numerous times before and honestly, not a fan of the new packaging either (used to be very upscale high end barber like, now is more cartoonish). Hold is still good, though the workability of the product is different and almost needs a bit of water to loosen up some. Note sure what changed, and still on the fence as to whether or not I'll continue using. Honestly, disappointed with this last round because this stuff used to be great.

I have heavy hair and usually use pomade to hold it in place. This clay is amazing and holds my hair in style all day with a natural look. It is easy to apply and style. The scent is a light citrusy, very light to the nose. People compliment the scent. Ordering the big size as it is perfect for my hair. Lockhart's makes premium quality products.

(Hair- medium length and thickness, no blow drying) I used this product as a post style on my dry hair without blow drying and it works wonders. I have finally found what I've been looking for all these years. Unlike any clay/wax/paste that I have tried, this matte paste feels creamy and smooth in your hands but as soon as it touches your hair it freezes up insanely fast and hardens giving my medium length hair a very strong hold and structure for as long as it's in my hair. Better than any vilain created product out there in my opinion. I have tried all of them so thats just my way of comparing. Very smooth application but only after a minute, due to it hardening in my hair, it is difficult to restyle or manipulate (which is a good thing imo).

Great hold, easy wash out. This is by far the best matte paste I’ve ever used. No greasiness and works perfectly for short to medium hair length. The hold lasts all day and it doesn’t require a large amount so it lasts ages.
