Review: Works Great with the Apple Health App - I really like this scale. The Renpho app actually works good despite my initial doubts before having used it. Now that I've had it for several weeks I can say that it has become a part of my weekly routine. I just open the app before stepping on the scale and then it automatically syncs after weight and body measurement are made. The app is not bad at all. It is useful in and of itself. It also syncs the data with the Apple Health app which then combines all your input devices and their data. I periodically look at both apps. If I'm in need of daily weight measurements I will look at it daily. I am about to go on a 10 day Master Cleanse and will be monitoring my weight carefully. I am glad that I have an accurate scale that makes tracking the data so easy. My wife also uses the scale and it syncs to her iPhone as well. If you use the scale without your smartphone it will sync to it the next time you have it and tap on the scale to power it up. Better than expected and not that expensive for what you get. 5 stars. Update ** July 7th, 2019 - I have an iPhone X and will be basing my review off my experience using it and the iOS app. The app is fantastic, FREE and fun to use. I find it easy to learn to use and navigate. To pair your new scale just open up the app and select "Device" then the "+" to add a new device. Step on your new scale after you have installed the included 3 AAA batteries and it should show up on your app screen. Click it to add it. Now to use the scale you can do it one of two ways. The method I prefer it to have the app open and then step on the scale. It will then take your weight and begin the other measurements. After it is finished it will transfer the info to the app and you will hear an audible confirmation that it is complete via your app. The second method involves you stepping on the scale and letting it take all measurements. Then later you open your app and step on then off the scale just to wake it up and will will transfer the last measurements taken to the app while you have it open. You will want to make sure that you were the last person that it took measurements for. The app gives you so much information. Weight, BMI, Body Fat %, Fat Free Body Weight, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Body Water, Skeletal Muscle, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Protein, BMR, Metabolic Age. I am not sure exactly how accurate these readings are but a highly useful tool is the "TRENDS" tab which show the historic data for each of these measurements. You can see the data over time. I just used the scale to track a 10 day Master Cleanse I did. It gives me so much to information to analyze. I can clearly see that as I dropped 14 lbs in weight my BMI and Body Fat also dropped. It showed my Body Water climbing which makes sense as I was drinking so much water during this time. As I look at all the measurements they seem to coincide with the cleansing program and what I was expecting and hoping to occur. You can set Weight and Body Fat goals in the app and track your progress towards them. I haven't used this feature but it is there to help coach you. The scale is simple and easy to use. If you don't have the app or a smartphone it will function as any other scale by stepping on it and looking at the weight reading. If you step on then off it, it will enter a "calibration cycle" which takes a few seconds as it calibrates itself to "0". I have had several digital scales over the years and this is by far the easiest and most comprehensive one that I have used. I would highly recommend it as it is full featured, has a polished app interface, seems well made, is simple to use, is very reliable, accurate and economical. I consider it to be a very good value. 5 stars easy.

**Q: Does anyone have a problem with this being inaccurate? My weight has been jumping all over the place.**
A: No, mine's pretty steady. Of course, weight can vary day to day by 2-3 pound easily (if you weigh what I do around 200 lbs). Depending on food intake and such. The scale should be on a flat, hard surface, not carpeting or uneven tile. Also you can try to calibrate the scale by stepping on and then off quickly.

**Q: What color is the LED screen for the white one?**
A: The LED's for the white unit are white.

**Q: I can see the read out on the black model is red.  What color is the read out on the white model?  It looks very light and possibly hard to read.**
A: It’s white, and it’s very clear to read.  I where glasses and I can see it without them on, which is an issue of mine.

**Q: My scale take 1-2 minutes to scan and sometimes I have to step on and off multiple times am I doing something wrong? Other reviews say 4-5 sec?!?**

Regarding the connection issue, can you please try the below steps?

1. Reset the scale:
If you are using the a model with removable batteries, you can reset the scale by taking out one battery for 5 seconds and putting it back in. 
2. Reset the Bluetooth connection
Ensure Bluetooth and GPS(For Android) are enabled on your phone > Open the RENPHO app > Under the "Measurements" section, select the top right "+" > Select "Device Management" > Find the model number that begins with “ES” and slide it left to forget the device; if you cannot forget the device, just go straight to the next step > Tap the "+" on the top right to enter pairing mode > Step one foot on the scale surface to wake it up > After a few seconds of loading, the scale model number will appear (begins with “ES”), tap it > Step on the scale again to complete the pairing.
Tips:
Download the correct RENPHO app which is free at the App Store and Google Play.
RENPHO App works with Bluetooth 4.0 and supports Android 4.3 and IOS 7.0 or above. 
If the device and phone are in pairing mode but your phone does not detect the scale after several seconds, try resetting the scale by either replacing the AAA batteries or holding the reset button. After resetting, try pairing again.
For Android, it’s possible that previously attempting to connect the scale could prevent a new connection. Check your Android phone’s central control panel under "settings" > Select “paired device” > Select "QN-Scale” and forget the device .
Two ways to confirm that the scale is connected to your phone:
1. Bluetooth icon appears in the APP in the main display.
2. The weight displayed in the APP will exactly match the weight displayed on the scale’s LED screen in real time.

If none of the above steps resolves your connectivity issues, try the "Bluetooth anomaly detection" function:
1. Open the RENPHO app.
2. Go to “My Account”and select “Settings”.
3. Select“Bluetooth anomaly detection”and follow up the instructions.
4. Submit the abnormality report.
5. Share your app account to support team.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2 months in - high end scale features, affordable price (and it internally stores weight ins!)

There is a reason this scale in both Black (ES-CS20M-B) and White (ES-CS20M-W) have almost 10,000 reviews combined and a 4.5 star rating. It an an excellent product. Don't be fooled by other look-a-like Body Composition scales on Amazon, this is the one you want. For under $30 you get reliable and accurate features that other scales in a $70-150 price range have. I did a lot of research before buying this scale and it all paid off. After using this scale for 2 months I can confidently say that this scale does not just spit out algorithmic answers. It gives accurate reading of all categories advertised. Its quick to start up (you just stand on it) and best thing is you don't need to have the app open of your phone with you when you weight yourself. That's right, this scale internally STORES your weigh in (including all composition data) and sync it the next time you open the app and activate the scale. I tested this myself over 2 weeks because I couldn't find any review that mentioned this and other high-end scales flaunt internal storage of weigh-ins. I was very excited. So you do not need to wait to see the bluetooth icon on the scale to weigh-in. I like to do my morning weigh in right away when i wake up and then later when I am brushing my teeth, I quickly step on the scale again (just enough for the display to turn on) and it sync my weigh in. I tested doing 5 weight ins without the app open and them i opened the app, they all synced. The Mobile App is excellent and easy to read and navigate. It also allows you to delete weigh ins if you need to. Syncing with fitbit and others is very easy and straight forward. tl,dr: get this scale! affordable, accurate, reliable, stores weigh ins for syncing later.
