No matter how to knead your dough, it’ll spit out a very thick tortilla and not a roti.

Temperature is not that high to make Indian roti. Smaller in size and weight to store.

It has been fun and I have more to learn.( I have only made tortillas so far.)First impression was that The plastic feels light and brittle and not very sturdy , but it turns out this does not need a lot of pressure to flatten the dough. I expect this will last a long time with care. I doubt it will survive accidents or abuse but it does a fine job.Don't oil it , keep the surface dry , just wipe it off that is all you need to do.It took me awhile to find what works for me, Hot water helps relax the gluten for thinner tortillas, I use Walmart flour tortilla mix((Mexican biswquick)(it is just easier). I like the thicker tortillas I make with a super wet dough.It is hard to resist pushing the topdown to much or a second time(which creates steam and tears the tortilla apart. I LOVE thisI invented a new flatbread this morning I mixed flour, water softenedbutterand bisquick.into a a very wet dough ..ploppedabout 1/4 cup onto pre-heated hotsurface (using highest settingpossible. squish it down to a nice thick pancake...cook til dappled with golden spots . yop with butter and fruit jelly. is very tastyb served on one of these tender biscuit/pancakes. I did place on Max heat and it scorched the batter. An appliance should not heat up to unfunctional temperature. It's ready to be discarded.

Use if to make flour tortillas, it does its job, not too thick not too thin. Satisfied with the product

After several trial of many tortilla machine and returning all of them, I found the right one. I made roti, puri ( with heavy filling) and I make protein bread in every morning. All successful.Heats sup fast, has regulators, never sticks, what else do you want? Small size too.
