I changed the transmission filter then flushed 4 gallons of this transmission fluid through the transmission before the fluid started coming out bright red. The old fluid was not burnt, however it was dark and needed replaced. I drive the truck lightly and it does have the tow package with the transmission cooler. Before on long trips it was not uncommon to see the transmission temp at about 200 degrees. After chaning the fluid I have not had the transmission temp go over 175 even when driving it hard. In addition, it now shifts like it did when it was brand new. We are taking the truck to Colorado next week and i knew with the elevation of the mountains I really needed to get this done before our trip. I will provide and update when I return and let you know if anything changes.
