The Big Book of Beautiful Babies Board Book

This book was a favorite of my children when they were little. I’m so glad I found it again to give as gifts to new parents.

Because infants focus on faces (and facial mimics in experiments) sooner than on other shapes, this book holds the attention of nearly-newborns, much earlier than other books. Over the years, based on the feedback from parents to whom I have given this book, I have probably bought over a dozen copies, both of the original (more fragile) ordinary-style book, and the later board book. (Spoiler alert): the clever unbreakable mirror at the back isn't all that accurate, but babies seem to love it also. Sadly, it seems to be out of press; I have bought the last two copies from secondary sources. It REALLY needs to be reprinted!!

My grandchildren LOVED this book when they were babies. It was a favorite for at least the first 2 years. Babies love other Babies. The photos are lovely, the book is sturdy and the surprise at the end is fun, not to mention adorable.I will continue to gift this book to lucky babies for as long as it exists.

Our babies were both hooked on this book and "loved it", pictures and reflecting mirror paper at the end, beyond recognition after we received it as a gift in 1999. After my initial disappointment that it was no longer in print when I wanted to buy a fresh copy for a friend, I'm grateful to have found a used copy in much better shape than ours for a Baby friend. This is a definite gem of a book for babies and their families. Ready to be loved by your favorite baby.

My daughter had this book as a baby and it was an absolute favorite of hers and mine. Bought it as a gift for a friend's little girl, I am sure she will love it as much as we did.

I am a huge fan of really good books for babies and toddlers...and was deeply disappointed to find text in this book that captions an 8-10 month old sitting in a batch of flour as "baby bad"....really??? how can any responsible author of a book for infants use the words "bad" and "baby" in the same breath...I returned this book for other, more appropriate books...

I purchased this book for my new Grandson because my Grandaughter enjoyed it so much. I chose the used version because it is cardboard. The book was listed in better condition than I would have rated it. I reailize it is used but there is writing inside of it so I would have rated it lower. I'm sure it will be fine for him though.

My son loves this book and I enjoy reading it to him. The pictures are great and I love the little story to read along with the pictures. My son has enjoyed reading this book over and over again. The pitures are much better than some of the other baby faces books I have bought.

Gifted it and it was perfect ! I learnt babies loved seeing other babies and makes a good gift!

My son's favourite book...babies love looking at babies! The book shows babies what emotions look like through the photos. The book rhymes as well, which is really great for little ones. At the end is a mirror for the baby to look at himself in. Very cute.

I first bought a copy of this book for my own daughter when she was a few months old. She loved looking at the pictures and listening to my voice (as they all do). The rhyming text is fun and simple and the book stayed a favorite right through to her being a toddler and beyond, she's 7 now and still pulls out her battered copy to read occasionally. So when a friends baby was due we looked for this book and are really pleased to find it still in print and even better in hard back, so it should last a little better than my daughters which is held together by tape on several pages. I'd recomend this book for babies and toddlers of any age.

I bought this one for my newborn but my two year old loves it too and has already memorised much of the simple text. The photos are lovely and my baby loves the mirror!
