I purchased the Amazon Basics 12-Gauge Audio Speaker Wire Cable to set up my high-end entertainment center, and I’m very pleased with the results. I wanted a high-quality cable that was thick enough (12 gauge) to support premium banana plugs, and this cable absolutely fits the bill. It’s also made from 99.9% oxygen-free copper, which is a great plus for ensuring minimal signal loss and maximum audio clarity. The outer shielding is a bit tough to work with due to its rugged design, which is built to withstand outdoor use. While this made it a little more challenging to strip, I found that using a good wire stripper tool made the process much easier. The cable inside itself is very durable, and I was impressed that it didn’t fray or break off when I was installing the banana plugs—something I’ve encountered with lower-quality cables in the past. Great quality wire at an unbeatable price. Every other 200' spool is $70+ at the time of this review. It was easy to work with. It is undoubtably pure copper, never saw any aluminum while working with it and isn't brittle like CCA. The sheathing is durable and made running it through the wall easy!

Why would anyone even look beyond this Amazon Basics 12 gauge stereo wire. It's priced to sell and of high quality. It works perfectly for my surround sound and looks nice and clean with the white plastic cover over the internal wires. Highly recommened

This wire seems to be very good quality. The outer sheath/coat is not thick and bulky yet it is strong. I like it. I did not measure it with a caliper, but the AWG size seems correct. The cable is quite flexible. I found the deal, the cost per foot to be better than any other similar cables I had bought. Before I purchased it, I read that it was difficult to strip the red and black insulation from the copper strands but now that I have it, I find no such issue. It strips normal. I would buy this again.

Bought on sale for $22 - very good value. It is simply much harder to work with than anticiapted. I bet this is the equivilant of 10awg sized wire jacket, so it does not fit standard consumer wire strippers very well - Doable, but it takes a few whacks at it. ✔ Copper = soft, clean, high quality ✔ Strands = flexible and easy to twist ✔ Conductivity = excellent ❌ Outer jacket = 10 gauge thick, stiff, oversized ❌ Stripping = highly annoying ❌ Routing/hiding = harder than it should be

Fantastic quality speaker cable. Amazon builds some of the best speaker cable you can buy, amazing value and true to gauge. It is very flexible and installs super easy!

The spool I received looks very clean under my microscope. The copper strands are smooth and uniform, with minimal pitting or stress fractures - the kind that plague CCA junk. Do not buy that stuff! It’s full of micro-cracks, which is why those wires sound thin and distorted over long runs. This OFC? A clean electron highway! Only nitpick: Stripping takes quite a bit more effort than cheap wire. That’s really a feature, not a bug, though. The tougher jacket means it’s built for in-wall runs without tearing. Bottom line: If you care about clean signal, low resistance, and not getting scammed by aluminum pretending to be copper then this is your wire. I’m buying another spool for the garage system. There is something about this wire that makes me buy it again and again, and makes me feel like it’s a great value! it’s pure copper strands and it feels, looks solid and as good as anything I ever bought for the sound transmission The cover is thick, but the wire is still flexible. Looks professional and the white looks better than the old school copper look. Getting the protective sleeve off is a bit of challenge but for me it’s worth it. Have a utility knife, wire strippers and if you have weaker hands, a pair of pliers or something to grip it with to remove from covering wires. It’s worth the effort to me as the results feel solid I use this with my higher end vintage M&K, Sansui, Pioneer, Timeframe, and other amps, speakers and to my ears, it delivers simple, clean sound at a great price. Don’t buy the hype, buy good wire and call it a day. This 14 gauge even works well with clip posts like on my Sansui 9090DB. 👌 Only thing I would do different, buy the 200ft if you are hooking up Atmos or have multiple equipment. This is my third 100ft in as many months, Lol

Muy buena calidad, algo costoso pero funcional

I've bought several units of this cable for some indoor and outdoor speakers. The cable is great quality, feels "solid" and whilst it is rigid due to the solid core nature of the cable it is flexible enough that if you are pulling it under the floor etc it is easy enough to do. Compared to other brands this is absolutely great value and works exactly as expected. The only thing I could ask is for them to do a black version however for the cost it is absolutely not a deal breaker

This speaker wire has surprised me it is the best value for money and best quality. The jacket is pretty stiff and pretty hard in colour white so you can run it through conduit under the wall or on under the floor. I ordered the 12 awg and trust me these wires are amazing to very thick and hard time putting through the Denon binding post but quality is amazing. I also have the C&E 14awg ones for 4k for surround speakers as 12 awg were not available and hard to wire across the conduit these ones beat the C&E any day. Setup- Q acoustic 3050i floor standers, q acoustic 3090 centre and sem for surround 3010 and monitor audio sub powered by Denon x 2700h with the LG IPS 4K 65 inch panel

My system includes Yamaha av receiver, wharfedale diamond 220 speakers, Polk audio psw125 subwoofer, Polk audio center channel speaker and pioneer surround speakers. My listening area is around 70 Sq. Mts. I like to listen to high resolution audio and watch movies. Pros: It is built to last, a sturdy chord. Pure oxygen free copper Looks good, add to the overall appearance of the set up. Delivery was spot on At this price it is a complete value for money. Sound quality : I haven't felt any significant difference when I heard music for the first time but after listening to music for couple of hours there is improvement in sound quality. There is significant reduction in distortion. Overall : it is a awesome product, looks good, feels good and will definitely make improvement in sound quality in any setup.
