Bought this for my toddler, for what you get the item in my opinion is over priced. Both fishing poles have come part from the hooks. 🪝 within 2 weeks of owning, toddler loss interest very quickly

Plastic smell but let it air out a couple days and it went away.

I love this little fishing toy. The silicone fish are just the right size for little hands. They are soft and squishy. The wooden poles may not last with rough play, but they are fine for little toddlers. I was surprised at the ease the 18- and 22-month-old grands can "work" these. To begin, both babies held the hook in one hand and put the fish on the hook with the other hand. As their fine motor skills improved, they started trying to "fish" by only using the rod and hook to get the fish on the hook. This set can be used in the water or out of the water. For safety reasons, I prefer this set to the sets that have magnets. The fabric bag to hold everything is a nice addition. The price is reasonable for the quality provided by the manufacturer.

We've had "fishing" toys before and the fish were challenging to catch. These silicone fish are easy to catch and little ones will have fun doing so! They're super cute with muted boho colors and etched scales and eyes. They are safe for kids three and up, and probably for a well-supervised two-year-old. Great for practicing fine-motor skills. We tested the fish in water, and none went belly-up unless you intentionally placed them in the water that way. So, all is well with how they float. The little fishing poles are cute wooden rods with simple, soft ropes attached. I'm wondering if silicone fishing rods would last longer and have less chance of rot and mildew. I love that the fish are dishwasher-safe. The canvas storage bag is cute but I think a mesh bag would be better to toss the fish in for washing. Overall, this fishing set is fun in and out of water.
