Not good vinyl adhesive

Is not self adhesive as described. This has not adhesive backing at all. Also did not come with the tool as described in the listing. Total waste of time.

Says what they say it dose been almost two weeks now I've put it to use and still hasn't peeled up and installation was a breezy will buy again... Oh the adhesive seams to be great and I don't think it will leave a residue or a sticky film behind..

This product is everything it promises to be if you follow the instructions and have experience, but it is not for beginners. I'm constantly pulling things in/out of the back of my SUV, leaving scratches and dings across the top of the bumper. I thought that a protective wrap might be perfect to add a protective layer to safeguard the area. The adhesive layer is sticky enough to grab, but can be pulled up and reapplied if you need to reposition the vinyl or get air bubbles out. It comes with a tool with both hard plastic and rubber sides to pull it into place while squeegeeing as well as a razor knife to cut it to form. The vinyl roll is thick and durable enough to protect the surface while crystal clear/colorless once heated. I'm giving this 4 stars because the problem wasn't with the product, but my abilities. If you are working with a long area like a car bumper, you need an extra set of hands and have experience wrapping cars. As I worked across the area, I used the heat gun to make the vinyl more pliable to match the curve of the bumper. I obviously held the gun too close and the vinyl melted. So, I started over, this time to be sure to hold the gun a foot away and only long enough to feel the vinyl give a little. It still melted, leaving noticeable crinkles in the skin. I'm thankful it pulled away easily without any residue. If you are using it for something smaller than 2 foot long, I would say go for it! It's priced very cheap and hard to mess up until you pass the 2-3 feet mark. But anything bigger, unless you got skills, have a professional do the work.

The picture said adhesive but when I got it and read the directions it says you need to use a wrap technique to apply this. I tried to use this on my door frame but it peels. I'm not sure if I am not getting it hot enough to stick but it doesn't matter I cannot get this attached and is not like a tape. It's basically just a small version of wrapping up smaller internal or external components. It does kind of stretch but not nearly enough. This was a horrible experience and was not what I expected. The description is very misleading in my opinion. I'll give it a few stars, but I honestly don't know if I'll ever use this again.
