Works well with my android deck installed on our 2017 Dodge Caravan.

There is a slight delay when it connects, but it works fine so far. If for some reason it were to stop working, the cost is minimal, and I would just order a replacement. I would recommend this to anyone who buys an aftermarket Android car stereo that does not come equipped with carplay.

I have an aftermarket android based car stereo that’s very basic. In less than 10 minutes, I was able to install the application on my radio this device and get full Apple Car Play to work. Now as soon as I connect the phone the radio switch’s to Apple car play. Loads quickly just like my more modern cars that came with Apple Car Play.

When I purchased my android radio I assumed it was equipped with android auto but it wasn't this is the best solution wired is always better than Bluetooth it works great

I regret purchasing the CarlinKit Wired CarPlay Dongle because it has been nothing but frustrating to use. Major Issues: ❌ Constant Disconnections – The connection drops every 5 to 10 minutes, making it completely unusable for navigation or music streaming. ❌ Frequent Restarts Needed – Every time it disconnects, I have to unplug and restart the dongle, which is incredibly annoying, especially while driving. ❌ Laggy & Unresponsive – When it does work, there is a noticeable delay in CarPlay and Android Auto, making it difficult to use voice commands or maps. ❌ Not Reliable for Driving – A device like this should be seamless and dependable, but instead, it’s a constant distraction and hassle. ❌ No Real Support – Tried reaching out for help, but customer support is unresponsive and offers no real solutions. ⭐ A Complete Waste of Money! If you need a reliable CarPlay or Android Auto connection, stay away from this product. The constant connection drops and restarts make it more of a headache than a convenience. Would NOT recommend! Look for a better alternative. 🚫
