JBL E30 Black High-Performance On-Ear Wired Headphones with JBL Pure Bass and DJ-Pivot Ear Cup, Black

Honestly, being somewhat of an audiophile myself.............I gotta say that these are one of the best sounding headphones I have heard in a long while. Of course this is subjective according to who is listening but from my personal opinion, these are GREAT! Especially considering the price range. The mids are there and spread out over a wide soundstage.......................giving the full "concert" effect. The highs are good too but sometimes a but overpowering which is practically the only downfall of these headphones. The bass though, not too punchy, a bit boomy but clean and precise right down to the 30-40hz range. The frequency of these headphones being 10-24000hz, I mean they will sound "low" in the bass and reproduce frequencies that you may not normally hear in a conventional headset. Call quality is good also and with regards to micro phonics, you don't get any from the cable but there is some coming from the headband itself, which I found was quite amusing but it is nothing to be concerned about unless you are lying down and constantly touching the headband to something. Lastly, with regards to the "fit". I saw some reviewers saying that it is too tight and uncormfortable. I initially had that problem too until I realised that I was wearing the headset in the wrong way. The microphone goes on the left not the right hence the hinges have to face backward and the two arrows on the silver caps for the hinges have to face forward. This way you can tilt the headphones to fit comfortably on your ear at your desired angle. Do this and the comfort is greatly increased. I can wear this for hours on end after that. If in doubt just look for the L and R signs under the headband and follow them. I will be using these headphones to DJ eventually but right now I am just "burning" them "in". I will update as regards to the durability and improved sound quality as time progresses. Overall for the money, it is a steal of a deal! You won't find much more in terms of sound quality or the price range, but my advice is to get the colour with the cheapest price, right now the white is going for $40.00..............order while stocks last!

I do a lot of listening to audios and transcription work for over 25 years. These are my favorite headphones so far, and this is my second pair that I purchased (first pair lasted a long time, but I abused them and they broke). Not too much bass, not too much anything. Just a great headphone for listening to audio files. Background noise is never a problem either.

I am a JBL fan and these are a nice mid-range headphone. On the ear, not over, but nice audio range with good bass. However, the one item that brought the rating down for me was that of the three pairs I bought, two of them failed at one of the side swiveling hinges. One completely, and the other on its way. While a convenient feature of the product, definitely a failure point in the all-plastic joint. For the money, it would be hard to recommend these if any type of travel or storage of them is involved. Otherwise, the built in mic is a great feature to use as a phone headset.

Decent sound quality, (not quite as good as some other JBL speakers & headphones I have, ... but good-enough for casual-use). The only drawback is that the pivoting ear-cups, (which swivel left or right to properly fit your head-size and ears), are a bit stiff at first use. I had to keep adjusting the pivoting-cups to properly fit my ears the first several weeks of use. If those pivot-points were made a little looser, then they'd automatically contour to one's ears / head, ... but these headphones need to be adjusted (by hand) for optimal-comfort. ... (This isn't a big-problem, but in my opinion it's the difference between 4 stars and 5).

Very pleased with purchase. Design is comfortable, the white model looks very nice and the sound is not bad at all. Recommended if you can get it on sale under 25$.

These headphones have a very weak bass response. They are also NOT durable. The earpieces are designed turn about 90 degrees each. After a short while, they start to spin all the way around and disconnect from the headphones themselves, just hanging by the wire. I have had these headphones for about a month before this happened and I barely used them as they were a backup pair. I will NEVER order JBL headphones again.

These are great. They only make my ears hurt after long wear, and only at times. But they all do this to me. Great sound from my samsung tablet a.

The headphones images show that there are "play/pause" and "next" functions on the headphone. This was one of the main reasons I got these headphones. Please check the 3rd image. However, none of these functions are present. This is misleading and I'm very disappointed! In terms of the performance, these are good headsets for the price. JBL as a brand stands for quality and the headsets offer good fidelity. The bass is good but not exceptional. Again, I'm really disappointed with the deceiving merchandising. Hence a 2 star instead of a 4.

I got what l expected.

El sonido en general está bastante bien, un sonido muy claro. Pero si eres de las personas que disfruta de unos buenos bajos estos audífonos no son para ti. Aunque ponga el ecualizador en modo BASS o similares éstos se siguen hechando de menos.

Los audífonos son increíbles en calidad de sonido, tienen un gran rango de frecuencia pero en calidad de construcción no es lo mejor... La almohadilla de la cabeza parece estar rompiéndose, y la verdad se me han caído muchas veces y han soportado bien! Todas las notas son equilibradas, sí buscas unos audífonos con potencia en bajos mejor busca otros como los sony extrabass, igual no quiero decir qué no se notan los bajos, para los qué han usado audio technica deben darse una idea del sonido equilibrado del qué habló

Beautifully designed, compact and good sound. They are quite small, but they were for my 13 year old daughter so they work great for her. Her only complaint is they hurt her head with extended use, but that could be that she just needs to break them in.
